I am new to the site and just made a timeline.  I am the US citizen petitioner and my fiance beneficiary is from the UK.  Its great to get an actual date estimate in August for NOA2.  The waiting is killing me, I need to be together with him.  I sent the petition into the Texas lockbox but the i797C form is addressed from California Service Center and the receipt number says WAC.  From what I can read on this website, that means that my application is being processed in California.  Is this correct?

thanks.  i am hopeful that it doesn't matter which facility processes it.  i imagine there would be a lot of applications at the california one.  does it make a difference which processing center processes the application?

LuFloLady, I have the exact same dates as you do in your signature, omg!

Unfortunately they have really slowed down and I hope they can pick it up. The latest date they approved yesterday was a December 18 filer. That puts that individual at 189 days. That’s if you are lucky and one of the first cases touched.  A few months back people were getting approved as early as 172 days. Definitely frustrating but I hope they can dedicate some more resources to getting the fiancé visa apps approved.

Do you think one of the reasons for the slow down was the zero tolerance border policy? I heard a story on the news that they were having to divert CBP resources from the ports of San Diego and Los Angeles to deal with the influx of immigration processing at the border. Now that CBP is no longer separating families at the borders hopefully things will go back to the way they were before and the processing speeds will pick up.

I so, so wish we had a visit planned. Or it was on the horizon. I am so happy for those getting to visit, though!

No the Border Patrol is a completely separate entity & has nothing to do with the admin process of approving visas. I think the new system & what we see (ie approval #s & rfes) are just a part of the completed work. Not everything is being updated in the system.
