Hey,

I have been wandering about these emails people say they get when they last took action on cases. I’m signed up on the new site and pretty sure ive selected in my options ‘updates’ and my email address. I get no emails about when they last took action on our case. May I ask how or what you need to do to get these emails?

Get the phone app. It's free and it will check up to 4 times a day. If the record has been touched you'll get notification.

I signed up for this months ago, but this morning is the first email I got.

January will probably start seeing these emails coming in more.

However I did request a congressional inquiry, and my congressman reached out to USCIS, however they responded with the generic massage that they are processing cases, 5-7 months and I am still within normal processing time. Maybe that's what June 8th touch is...

As long as you are within their normal processing times there isn't much you or any other agency can do to move it along. After 220 days pull out the guns and start a blazing.

Ah ok! Got ya! Yeah we holding off on reaching out to Congress for enquiry support until our official enquiry date 07/24 as per USCIS website. I would only assume a bog standard response in respect of their 5-7 month processing times on the web. I’d rather use it once we hit 210 days. Every day now feels like a week since they’ve started December 😂😂😂

Thanks for letting me know. Patiently waiting for the USCIS to reach or even slightly touch the Dec 20’s by at least July. Officially hit our 6 month mark on Tuesday Day 182. Patiently waiting

Good luck

Well I figured I will do it at 5 months since that's the goal for USCIS to process K1 visas, and again at 7 months if it goes past my inquiry date.

My congressman's office is pretty nice, the 2 admins are pretty responsive and understanding, they actually suggested that I submit at 5 and at 7 if it takes that long. I think they will start on January by beginning of July, so we should start seeing approvals in July and August.

This happens all the time
K1 processing times has fluctuated a lot the past few years
I think those that applied in like 2014 took about 200 days and that's what it is taking now. But those from early 2017 got NOA2 in like 3-4 months.
It's a luck of the draw. Be patient. It's coming

When we applied in 2013 it was running about 5 months.

Oh Goodness! That makes me well jealous lol. I’m hitting Day 180 on Sunday and my gut tells me it’ll be Day 195+ before I hear anything at this rate. They were the good old days with 5 months start to finish. Quite interestingly, USCIS updates their historic processing of course and for FY year 2018 up until 31st March (I think) they revealed average processing was 7.7 months. Their website says their average standard processing is 5-7 months of course. I’m hoping and praying I hear something (even an RFE at least if needs) by our official enquiry date 07/24!! They seemed to have started December well but slowing down. Come on USCIS ❤️❤️

January 2017 took only days for some filers from Noa1 to Noa2. I guess a change of an Administration has partly something to do with this processing times. I have read few months back that he is cracking illegal immigrants and became more keen about those who are applying for an immigrant visa.

Yes, this time last year it was 90 days to NOA2.  Though some people will disagree, the fact is the new administration ordered more scrutiny of K1s, that’s why you see a dramatic increase of RFEs.

Your opinions may be correct but I think it has a lot to do with not only the scrutiny of ALL visa's and not just K-1's but I think that people think that the immigration door may close and they are rushing to get in. There's our opinions for whatever they are worth. :D

It’s not actually the processing time, it’s  the  feeling of being away from our loved ones that’s making us impatient. The US government has not something to do with that. They need to protect their country and their countrymen.

We have no choice. We must abide the rules.

Hi J! - I understand the frustration, I think everybody does here too. The wait is the worst and worrying in inevitable. I myself worry because we forgot to put in intent to marry statement but we did put in our wedding plans so I'm just hoping here not to get an RFE. We already set a wedding date nov 10 and we are not even sure if we will make it. Talking to venues/vendors is really hard, imagine the stress. LOL.  :)

Hey kmza. Yes, that must be a worry re: letter of intent. Having spent a little time on this website it seems not putting one in may incur an RFE, but for your sake I hope not. For our own application we did wonder about needing a date/venue to marry, but since it's impossible to predict when things will be sorted I would never want to put a date on it. Our plan is to marry in the nearest courthouse in one of the surrounding counties in Indiana ASAP. We're not concerned with guests, numbers, expense etc. We just want to marry and move on with our lives, like everybody else here.

Best of luck to you, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

No one from January has been approved unless it was a expedited case. Probably be another 2 to 3 weeks before January kicks off with approvals.
