I think if they don't slow down more for December, January filers can reasonably see POE in September and many in October. I don't believe a big portion will be pushed to November. Remember a lot of the slowed down timeline is possibly because of how they began November at the end and not at the beginning. So many people in early November have been waiting a lot longer than usual. Also, keep in mind that the scans are now showing an even smaller number cases than before with the move to the new system. So, I'm still hesitantly positive that we will begin to see approvals at the end of the month and that (some) January filers will be able to see POE in September. As always though, it all depends on how they proceed. No one ever knows for sure.

I based my guestimating on processing times here in Brazil. I know of two September cases that are going for their interviews now. And they got their NOA2 around last week of March and first week of April. One had his interview this week, so about two months from the date he received his NoA2. And since here in Brazil jt takes 2-3 for the visa to actually come, he'll only be entering the US at the end of this month. So that's 3 months from NOA2 to POE. And that's because he got his NoA2 in 185 days.

So using my case with is mid January as reference and adding 185 days to that puts us around mid July. Then 3 months from  July puts the PoE in the second half of October. Based on 185 day processing time and no RFE, of course.

Maybe some countries process the medical exam and whole interview process quickly. But here in Brazil it's currently taking 3 months ish in best case scenarios.

I feel like a few lucky ones will make a PoE in September, like early January filers. But I believe the majority will enter October/Early November.

But I really hope that I am wrong and that you're right lol.

I believe this depends highly on the country, embassy and how they fast they process cases to get it ready, process the visa for fiance to travel and availability of appointment times.

Now, the petitioner and fiance also have big part in this as well because it depends on how both parties are on top of the process and knowing what to do, completing the steps on time.

for myself, i have been monitoring the interview times and i saw interview times time slots available as soon as two days out. Once you get your approval, it takes two weeks or there about for NVC to provide a case number, then once you get the case number, in countries like mine, it could take up 2 to 3 days for the embassy to receive it, case status says ready. that is when you can fill out the DS-160, pay the visa fee, schedule your interview date, schedule or complete your medical (at least two weeks before the interview date) and go in for the interview and the visa should be ready shortly after. So it can take two months or three months or 4, 5 or 6 weeks if you are on top of the what you need to do.

Yeah I believe what you said is true and what happens. It depends on where you get your medical also bc some places take longer than others

Seems like here in Brazil it's taking 2.5 to 3 months when people are on top of it. It used to be shorter by seems like the minimum is 2.5 months now. But I'm aware that each country is different. What slows it down is the NVC stage which isn't that quick anymore and the time for the embassy to reach out.

Hello everybody I will be visiting my fiancee this month :jest:. I was wondering if anybody can give me an advice what evidences should I collect during my trip to support our K1 journey. I can't think of anything else except for photos. Thanks.

Yep nvc timelines change all the time (especially recently) I didn’t see anyone even get a case number in 2 weeks let alone reach to embassy. Case number is about 3 weeks and transfers are aroun 1-2 weeks sometimes. Unfortunately even for electronic cases (which I think they actually stopped this lately) so I’d give NVC a good 1 month.

Yup. That's what happened to the case that I used as example. It stayed just a little over a month at NVC. Then by the time the couple scheduled the interview and the medical another month had passed. Then 2-3 weeks for the actual visa to come in. 😐

Good day! Were Jan filer as well. Is there any movement from Jan filers? 🙂 im new here so i havent read everything.  my fiance was here last month for a short vacation. But of course it would be costly if he keeps visiting cos of this long wait - altho it could add up as proof that we’re really together in case they ask more evidence, right?
