Timeline. And send a note to the people who applied during the same month so they can benefit of your experience during the interview.

Same here! The wait is hard, but getting too frustrated won't make it go by any faster. I keep reminding myself that in a few months time it'll all be over, that's what keeps me going :D

Hello all,

Does anyone know how many filers December and January each have?

I remember seeing data that would show how many filers a certain month had but never got to see how many filers the month of December and January had.

I'm curious to know because even though they've started December, it seems like November took more than normal so I'm wondering if December and January have less filers. I hope that's the case haha

There is a few people that generate reports....other than that it is just very hard to know. Normally cases are processed within a 6 to 8 months time frame. Some of them quicker and some slower.

Dear Janies (to tell the truth I'm out of nicknames these days... it is too hot in Japan)

I need a volunteer for scanning process. (I have no one for January - and I wont have my windows PC with me to continue scanning)

Who has a good overall understanding of scans and system, would be nice if you were around for a while.

PM me for requirements.

--------------------------------- Repost Monthlies

Hi Guys!

Sorry for taking a while, I am trying to closeup my accounts and taxes as I will be leaving Japan in a week (can't believe finally!!!)

I need scanners to come up because I accidentally deleted most of my messages!! Some could have been from volunteers from February to April.

Please PM me if you have been around for a while and understand what these are and how things work. Please know that even though it starts as a fun thing, it is highly time consuming and stressful.

As the new system came out, old system does not really update much. I estimated by comparing USCIS official reports for quarter 1 that we saw 30% of approvals as silent, and recently with the implementation of the new system (new website) it looks like this number is decreasing.

Scans (and case tracker app) are using the old site for reference, therefore the number of cases in the places that we can see, can no longer be considered for a good reference point.

However, the dates are more important than the number of cases we see that has movement in order to guesstimate how far they go, and when the next month can start.

Please use these two websites to check your personal cases:

Old website, same info as apps: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

New website need to log in: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov

There are also cases that are totally silent and never get any update, and/or gets updated really late; it is advised to register for USPS informed delivery if your area is covered.

USPS INFORMED DELIVERY https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

Monthly Status:

Explanation:

Excluded: Rejected and withdrawn cases (I just put here for reference - does not matter to you as long as you have your wac number and noa1 receipt)

Virgin: Never been touched (case status never changed from "case was received")

Touched : Any update (Such as RFE, name update, birthdate update etc..)

Approved: (IF YOU ARE SEEING AN APPROVAL ON A MONTH THAT WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO START YET, IT IS HIGHLY LIKELY AN EXPEDITE. I did check... it is... if you want to dream please do so but I just don't want to see anyone get disappointed.)

I am putting from June 2017, because there are still members waiting. However Those Virgin numbers are lower that they seem.

Congratulations...I’m so happy for you @Naes Well deserved... You really became a FORTRESS to all of us here in this site. Please still find time to visit us here(VJ) when you are already in the US.

I would love to give a helping hand and volunteer. But unfortunately, my time won’t permit 😞. I hope someone from the Jannies will do so. It will certainly such a relief seeing some updates from time to time. Just like and during your time(September). There is excitement, thrill, and lots of mixed emotions.

@Naes you're a champion of patience. I see how many people were lashing out their frustration at you and you still could handle it calmly. @x_driven_x I always appreciate your guestimate too and your calm reaction. People can say whatever they want based on the limited data or even with their own expectation. The same person didn't want to listen when more realistic guess was brought up and now gave the same advise he denied before. Every group in K1 visa always has someone like that but anyway I don't spend much time around here but I read and lurk from time to time. I avoid any argument and just look forward to seeing January filers get approved soon. I'm happy to hear @RambaCat that December is starting to get adjudicated. Hope USCIS starts approving December filers full force sometimes next week. September POE is still possible. I'm crossing my fingers here

They go low, We go high.

Good luck with your approval. :)

@Naes, in your opinion why did USCIS slow down all of a sudden?

I'm curious because over a month ago my VJ timeline was estimating that I would get my NoA2 around July 18th. Now, well over a month later, my timeline is estimating that I should get it around the 25th. I thought my timeline estimate would go down as time went by and not up lol. Pretty soon the estimate will be back in August.

Vj timelines uses people who get approved here and because November went so hectic this caused many people from first half of November to reach 200 days, I believe this is the main reason for the timeline changes.

I’m not really sure if uscis really slowed down or they’re just continuing with the same pace but with a bad organization. But they’re definitely not trying to recover or decrease the waiting times at this moment.

I want to to see how December will unfold actually because it started in a regular pace unlike November craze. I actually expect it to go pretty smooth.
