I was doing fine with the time it was taking by distracting myself with things, exams etc.

Then my fiance got into a car accident yesterday. He's fine but those few words nearly drove me to a panic attack.

I should be there. :(

I’m sorry to hear this @RambaCat it is unfair when we have to be apart during these times. I’m glad he’s okay, though. Hang in there. Soon we will get to be with our loved ones through the good and the bad!

I wish someone knew someone who works at USCIS who could just answer these really surface level questions about the processing. I'm also starting to suspect that there could be some presorting procedure that orders rather than order of receipt. anyway, it's all postulation.

either way, waiting is hard regardless of what information is there. i'm glad i can check this thread.

This might help a little bit. It is, now quite old, interview with a former USCIS adjudicator but it gives at least some insight^_^

Sad but it is known they do not go on the order of receipt. Because every case is different and takes different time to finish security checks and adjudication.

so It would be normal to assume when cases come back from security checks and get a new order.

but other than that I see no specific kind of “resorting” happening.

@Naes I am just so curious. How did you manage to have your interview 1 month after your Noa2 approval? I visited your profile and I couldn’t get any info. Do you mind sharing with us? Thanks in Advance and Congratulations!!!

It is written on my timeline actually. I just rescheduled it (ability to reschedule depends on the embassy) it was 1.5 month after noa2.
