I still don't see why USCIS needs to speed up their pace. Unlike private sector that is making money from efficiency, better service and fastness, I believe new system was built to comply with new immigration regulation.

I believe new system is starting to be implemented full force this November, again to my theory because the number of application is lower than October's. They might have to fine tune the system along the way. That's why we see the progress in November is slower than October. The higher number of silent NOA2 might come into place too.

I believe USCIS will keep improving their new system up to December. We might see some anomalies and strange trends. But it's just their progress to have their new system fully in place. With the recent climate, I expect the immigration process will be longer, more difficult and more expensive. Please don't be discouraged. That's the price we have to pay when we get into what so called international marriage.

They will need to speed up or they will be buried under the continued applications that keep coming in. And while they may not make money like the private sector, they do make money from the application process.

This line of thinking IS discouraging so I will continue to chose the theory that they are gradually speeding up, even if they don't return to days of 3-5 month full visa approval. It is only the price we have to pay if we sit back & say nothing, which is not the American way. lol!

@calliope8 I really want to see that I'm wrong but from my experience working with US government, bureaucracy never wants to be quick or fast. They might make some money but they still have to be accountable and comply with the regulation which is the main focus for any government institution. I really want to see the process return to 3-5 months like it used to be, but unless the regulation is more concise (the hard liners might want to be looked tougher when it comes to immigration issues) and the political posturing is less ridiculous (both parties are using this agenda for their own narrative), I wouldn't see any drastic change in near future

Silent noa2 has no meaning on any data on visajourney. Visajourney timelines are filled by people here and it does not matter how they received their approval.

a long weekend will cause no approvals hence the dates will move.

on another note: 1-2 day move won’t make much of a difference as it’s only accurate by plus minus 10 days.

Thanks Naes for clearing that up, I just meant that silent noa2s as a symptom of the new system means that timelines are not being updated as regularly given their strange order and taking a long time to process things.
