Question on Letter of Intent from beneficiary for k1-visa.

For the I-129f I did electronic signature. Now for visa interview we have wet signatures and updated the letters. I don’t think you need wet signature and for me I received NOA2 without it.

Former k1 visa holder and we never sent anything wet signature (at least my documents). We were almost ready and waiting for my forms to get to the States was a waste of time. It was never ever an issue. And we sent everything in english....but do whatever it makes you feel better. We didn’t want to waste time and money.

 

For the interview, most of the forms are from the beneficiary sonof course I did sign those normally.

Just to further clarify the well-stated post by Kumar01...

 

Note that there is a difference between original, required forms versus supporting evidence. A letter of intent to marry is not an I-129F requirement. The relevant requirements are 1) being free to marry and 2) intending to marry within 90 days of entry on the K-1 visa. A signed letter of intent historically has been the preferred and accepted method of satisfying those requirements. Supporting evidence does not need to be originals.
