It's 9:30 PST and I can't find a Tuesday thread. Is there seriously not one yet or is it buried in some other topic? I see about 9 people at the bottom, so I suspect when I hit 'post' there will suddenly be 3 more Tuesday threads.

I think I only noticed because I was looking for a place to share something with some of you. His job is going well so far. Only had one day though. He said the boss asked him throughout the day how things were going. So he feels pretty comfortable. His tailor attributes come out in his work (perfection) so I'm confident he'll do good work.

I got to wake up my husband and wish him a happy birthday for the first time in his life! (since they don't celebrate or sometimes even notice birthdays in his country). My mom always did this thing where she would tell us 'good night _ year old before we went to bed, the day before our birthday, and then in the morning, 'say good morning _ year old.' Tried to do that with Omar but couldn't remember his age! Funnier was when I asked him, he told me the wrong number too! We are 10 yrs apart for the 3 months between our birthdays, so I had to do some quick math. LOL He appreciated it all the same, and got a laugh. Kyle and I put birthday cards in his lunch box.

The doctor's birthday is today too, so I get to celebrate all day long. :jest:

Hey there! I think people are too busy arguing in the "any Casa updates" thread. I called DOS today and they said that consulate should be opening soon but didn't say when. I am home this week on medical leave and it is quite different. Don't know if I like this or not. Maybe I would enjoy it more if my daughter were home. But I have been making her snacks for when she gets home and we sit outside under the gazebo and talk about the day. This is her last year in elementary school so I am glad we are getting this time. Hope everyone has a good day.

Of course they didn't! Soon? What the heck does that mean???? :ranting:

Security of the workers and everyone going in and out of the consulate to do business is extremely important though. I guess you could think of it that way if it helps you feel better at all. You wouldn't want your fiance entering an unsafe environment in order to interview, right?

Of course not. I wouldn't want anyone's safety put at risk. I have accepted that we will have to wait until...

I bet when they open that they'll continue with interviews that had already been scheduled, reschedule the missed interviews for immediately following those, and then worry about the cases that hadn't yet been scheduled. I hope the delay isn't too bad.

Seems like a typical day in ME/NA with the latest thread to be hijacked being that quickly lengthening thread!!

Good thing that I don't know anything regarding any topic here anymore!! I have to check my "opinion" at the door. :innocent:

As for me . . . lots of work to do and the skies are grey . . . more rain!!! good for the water table, bad for driving thru rush hour.

Nothing else to report on the DFW front . . . . :crying:

I am enjoying this long week because I was put on medical leave and have to stay hmoe and not even think of work. I have been staying home doing things around the house and spending time with my daughter. I'm greatful this week is going slowly. Sorry for the others who wish it would speed up.

I can't believe it is only Tuesday  I am extremely busy at work. One of my new construction projects faxed me selections for 12 houses! I am used to working on 3, maybe 4 at a time. 12! Each house has at least 3 orders (carpet, wood, ceramic) ,,,let's see if I can still multiply,,,,I need to write 36 orders  I am seeing sketches in my sleep. So if it seems I am not here as much, I'm not. Reality kicked in and I have to work.

Play nice.
