hii, i was unfortunately involved in a small fight which turned out to be a big one. i was arrested, and  the case was dismissed between us and the other party based on mutual compromise. i scored a decent mark in gre and ielts and got admission into college i intended to study. now, the big doubt is that whether i should mention this on ds 160 or not and will it be a problem for accepting my visa?. Can i please have an advice about this?

Answer is yes for the have you ever been arrested question. Never try to hide something from consular.

I agree 100%.  Answer yes, and then you can explain what happened.  But never lie, because that will get you denied.
