My current wife and sweetheart Rebeca came into the country with a Tourist B2 visa on June 4th, 2004 from Nicaragua like she had done for the past 5 years. We met on November of that same year right before her tourist visa expired on December 4th, 2004. All thanks to a good friend of mine who had the hots for her but was a little bit too slow.

We got married almost a year later on June 18th, 2005 and decided to go through with the AOS process. The first thing I did was to file the I-130 on July 19th, 2005, but due to money constraints we had to hold off the AOS filing until December 2nd of 2005. A few days later on December 8th, we received the NOA for the AOS and the EAD, and a few more days afterwards on December 12th, she got the Biometrics Apppointment.

The EAD was approved on March 6th, 2006 and she received it a few days later on March 10th, 2006. On March 13th we ran to the Social Security Office to get a hold of a much coveted SSN, but she wasn't in the system yet so they told us to come back a week later. On March 20th, we were there again and that time she was in the system, so we filed for a SSN and were told to wait about 2 weeks for the card to arrive.

The next step is for her to secure her driver's license. We're in the process of doing so, she's just waiting for the appoinment to go take the written exam.

To be continued... :D

Thank you for all your replies :D. We just received the AOS interview letter in the mail, dated for June 14th. That actually made our day a lot better since we're in the process of moving into a new house , but all is good since we're making so much progress in so little time.

@Minfay: Of course, he's one of my best friends :D.

@Autumfall: She says thank you very much and I think I should upload more pictures of us together, we have lots of 'em. They should come in handy for the interview :).
