Hi we received our NOA2 on 2/21 and we are now preparing our documents for the interview.

Im the beneficiary in Japan and my USC fiance is preparing supporting document for I-134 Affidavit of Support.
She has been working here in Japan as an Eng teacher for past 3 years but she hasnt filed US tax return for past 3 years

because she was thinking she didnt have to since she was working and paying tax here during that time period.
Then we realized she was supposed to file US tax return even if shes outside the US and earned 0 US income.
So basically she has to back file past 3 years but does anyone know how?

Also does she ever have to declare foreign(Japanese) income?

If any of you could answer I would really appreciate. Thanks!

She has to declare her worldwide income on her tax return...

YMMV

if it is a simple tax filing  she and or you could do it you can go to the IRS website they have prior years tax form that you can download. IF you are not comfortable doing your own taxes then you could go to a tax preparer place

but I think she has to make so much before she files. I am not sure what the amount is

If she made less than the value of the personal exemptions plus standard deduction is the filing threshold.  For a single person with no additional exemptions in 2017 that value is $10,400 USD worth of income

YMMV
