Hi everyone. I am very new to this process and I will apply for the CR-1 visa soon. I have been extensively reading your forum and have so far been very pleased of the help it has given us. Here goes my question I could not find.

I have been living in another country for 10+ years so obviously I do not meet the income requirement. Therefore, we will need a joint sponsor. My aunt, a resident of IL, has proposed to be the one to file the I-864. Unfortunately, she wants to move back here when we get to the states --maybe in 1-2 years--. Is it possible to have her still file, ove here before my husband has been neutralized? She is the closest I have to a family there

I wish I will be  a good contribution to your community in the future time being.

Of course, she can move to another country.  She must be a US Resident at the time she signs and submits the affidavit.  Maybe look up the definition of "freedom" or "liberty".
