Thank you for responding.

We dont have any tax returns, we were kind of being supported by our families during this whole process to help us get our things together. My wife was in school and I started work just recently (I am the beneficiary)

I do not have medical insurance but my wife is on her mothers plan.

So you're saying that sending mail that we both receive to the same address qualifies as evidence? even though both our names do not appear on the same pieces of mail?

Thats why I am including copies of our drivers licences with the same address, as you have to prove to the Motor Vehicle Commission that you received mail to that address and we both did.

Absolutely it does, it shows you share the same homestead, unless you're totally devious. And you're young ones, they get that, they do they are only human and they know everyone circumstances are different. You know they look at your profile as a whole and take everything into consideration. Please try not to worry, if they send a RFE, its not biggie, if they call you for interview, you know you have a genuine marriage. Only the people that they suspect are not quite what they seem are going to have problems. I know I jest about the USCIS through their slowness and such, but believe me they aren't stupid and there will be supervisors going over queries.  I wish you SO much happiness and a quick journey with ROC! God bless.

I sent the originals and the reason why is that they didn't mean much to me other than something that needed to go into the shredder. However, I also sent original letters from my step son in the Navy, when he left us and wrote to me in America and England when I was over there visiting my son for xmas. I know he didn't mind, it broke my heart to part with them, but he knows and I know it was to keep us together as a family. I also sent original envelopes of Christmas cards, birthday cards sent to my husband and I. Sent photos of our only Christmas with my husbands mom and dad and our sons together. (unfortunately my husbands mom died in June, we were there) I sent medical bills from when I tried to bake a cake for my husband on his birthday and I mangled my finger in the mixer, what was a chocolate cake turned out to be red velvet. I sent opticians bills.  I sent a letter to say I could not provide joint mortgage or lease, or utility bills. For the first time I shall say why. My husband went bankrupt the same time his mom died. we lost the house. He didn't want me on his bills to bring my credit down, he didn't want to drag me down with his unhappiness. I did not disclose this to the USCIS as it was personal, but now its out there, to help you and others who also have personal circumstances. I hope that helps. Take care.

To all:  Consider drafting wills, medical powers of attorney, and similar documents.  These make excellent evidence for ROC, and they're even more crucial to have in "life."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
