my bubble?   i would say i don't really know why you're being so defensive and spinning deflection, but i do.

like i said before, cnn allowed discussion of arming teachers during the town hall meeting - why would they turn away a participant for holding this view? it didn't make sense to me then, and now you see why.

Defensive and deflecting.  Seems that was started by yourself.  I am interested in that you are completely ignoring the other student and parent that showed the same concern about CNN, but I suppose that doesn't promote the narrative your are putting forth.

i'm interested in you ignoring that cnn allowed discussion on the topic that cnn supposedly refused to allow discussion of. did this other parent also change emails they were shopping around to the media? because that is what i'm referring to, specifically.

The MDL is joyous today, thinking CNN might actually be right for once. The dad left off, :you submitted".

Changed nothing in the meaning of the email. Changed no context, and CNN is still guilty of using the kids of the tragedy to host an anti 2nd amendment rally disguised as a town hall meeting.

Bottom line CNN is still caught red handed faking news . Not surprising .

changed nothing? nothing except the claim that cnn turned this kid away because of the nature of his question.

Quote

In one exchange, 17-year-old Colton Haab proposes several questions to ask at the town hall, including one on whether to arm teachers. His father, a Republican gun owner, later emailed Stevenson a four-page document with a roughly 700-word speech and a series of questions he said Colton wanted to ask.

Stevenson told the father the additional language he proposed was "way too long" and Colton would need to stick to the question "that he submitted." The words "that he submitted" were left off the email sent to Fox News and Huffington Post.

CNN said Stevenson had discussed which one of Colton's several questions to ask at the forum and they mutually agreed on one using his own words and a statement he made during another television appearance.

Business Insider reported Friday evening that, according to CNN, a network producer agreed to let the younger Haab write and ask a question about arming teachers at the network's Wednesday town hall.

But Haab’s father sent the network a long speech that he insisted his son read at the town hall. CNN, citing time constraints, told Glenn they needed Colton to stick with the question “that he submitted.”

When the elder Haab passed along the correspondence between his family and the network to media outlets, Business Insider reported, he omitted the key phrase, “that he submitted.”

He left off more than that. Of course it changed the context. It looks like CNN is telling him the question to ask, when they are actually telling him to stick to the question he originally asked himself.

It is interesting when some have to continuously come to the defense of CNN.

Right is right. One may not like CNN, but that shouldn't be a reason for others to distort reality, to push their own narrative.

Don't we get that regularly relative to Fox News from the MDL?  Heck, Obama attacked Fox almost daily during his first term, but that is fine.  So someone edited CNN's email, CNN edits things all the time to fit their agenda and narrative to show on the air, or to put on their site.  I guess it is just right for one side to do that.

See how easy that was?  Trouble is, how do you define “right”, or “correct”, or “accurate” when it comes to news?  I would imagine your take will differ from mine, and mine from Boiler’s, and Boiler’s from Bill’s.  That’s human nature.  If we don’t agree with nor like what we are reading, we tend to gloss over it or skip it altogether.

But we are seeing/hearing news sources having to apologize and “set the record straight” more and more.  And it happens on both sides of the news parties.

If someone had printed falsehoods about a fox news story, then yes, it wouldn't make sense to continue to attack them, even after the truth had already come out. Now let's face it. Fox news is not even close to have the journalistic integrity of CNN, so that probably won't ever happen.

Fox news attack Obama hourly, so what is your point? Obama wasn't big on giving interviews to fox news celebrities, and who could blame him? Also, I don't recall Obama tweeting daily about fox news, or anyone else for that matter. But the guy in office at the moment, gets a free pass from you, as usual.

Doesn't CNN, MSNBC, NYTimes WaPo and all the other leftist media attack Trump regularly?  Personally, I do not like his tweeting, but I do like the fact that he actually talks to Congress, both sides, which is something that Obama was loathe to do.  Heck, it was even Chris Matthews that pointed out the fact that Obama hated talking to anyone.  Seems Trump is a much more personable guy then Obama is.  Regardless, the economy is roaring, the taxes are cut, and Congress actually seems to be accomplishing something.  I hope the Democrats have something more to run on in November than higher taxes and getting back to a poor economy.
