Steps timing after NOA2

I received my NOA 2 a month ago. What is the process that follows NOA 2 and how long does it take to get a response for the interview at this point for my wife?

Also does it take forever for NVC to get the mail? why is the process taking so long...

if the online update says Sent to DOS you need to wait about 2-3 weeks from when the online system for USCIS was updated.

 

I was approved 1/17/18 sent to DOS 2/1/18 NVC received 2/5 in mail and scanned date of 2/8 and was told 2 weeks from that time case # would be in the system, that was lastnight at midnight.

 

however still no case # at this point, and NVC will be the ones to give a interview date and further instructions, 

 

so if your 2-3 weeks in from when it says sent to DOS you can call NVC to see if there is a case # ready yet.

ok, I see... we are on the same time line kind of. so im guessing, it take 2 weeks to send out 1-2 weeks to receive and put something together?

Actually our receipt is dated 1st of August so your application is moving along at a good pace

this process requires a lot of patience  mostly because you do not hear anything 

follow the steps in your cover letter when you receive it from NVC / it comes faster if you put a good reliable email ID on applicaiton

the process is listed above under guides / tells you exactly what to do

but mainly you will be billed for the AOS and DS 260 and pay the 2 fees 

then fill out (you and spouse) the proper forms

get the required police clearances from spouse's country (or other countries lived in for over a year in last 5 years)

mail these and other dcuments as required with the cover letter to NVC

be sure to put in upper right hond corner the new case on all papers (you send) in upper right hand corner with both names and both DOB's 

do not staple

do not put in binders

do not paper clip
