You will not get any updates for about a year after biometrics - it takes like 12-14 months to get an interview in SF

Got done with my interview, I think it took less than 45 minutes! 

 

- Was fairly straightforward, was asked reg. selective service, additional travel, my address change (which for some reason wasn't updated in their system despite me filing an AR-11), job details. I also gave him a copy of my name change decree, we confirmed the new name for the oath. 

 

- The online system has no updates as of now reg. the oath, hopefully I should know in a couple of days.

Case History online is now updated with a "We approved your application" wiht a claim of a case completion time of August 2019 lol. Still no notifications by email or text -- I manually checked it.

@thedarkelf - Congrats! I have my interview tomorrow (Friday), and I'm hooooping I can ride that June 12th train too!

@Solid_Possibility Thanks dude! I was skeptical whether we'd get scheduled June 12th, I have my fingers crossed now! Good luck, the folks at Washington and Sansome are pretty chill.

Guys. Guys. Finally what I was waiting for ..

on may 30th 2019 interview was scheduled. I just checked my uscis account but the interview letter hasn’t been uploaded yet. 

N-400 applied: May 16th 2018

Biometrics scheduled: May 19th 2018

Biometrics reviewed: June 7th 2018

N-400 interview scheduled: on May 30th 2019

N-400 interview date: no dates yet.

I just finished my interview. I had a little bit of wait (maybe 40 mins), and the interview itself was like 30 mins. I am trying to remember which questions they asked, but I just remember a few (I got 6 total):

- Capital of California

- Why do some states have more representatives than others

- Name 3 of thirteen original colonies 

- What war was Eisenhower in

(and there were 2 others but I'm sorry I don't remember)

 

The guy was super nice, but very serious. He said I'd likely have my oath in July. 

I haven't yet seen an update on my status online.

Just to give you a sense of the timeline of the updates that I got after my interview. The officer gave me the letter and said that my oath would be in the "next two or three months".

 

- EOD Tuesday, I saw that the online system had two updates: attended the interview, and approved. 

- The email/text systems kicked in the next day morning and told me the same thing.

- EOD Wednesday, the online system said that my naturalization ceremony was scheduled (couldn't see the date yet).

- The email/text systems kicked in next day morning and I could see the N445 document. 

- I haven't received the physical copy yet..hopefully next week.

 

Fingers crossed yours gets in sooner than later!

Thank you so much for this timeline. It will eliminate a lot of anxiety in the next few days! Just checked and the online system reflected that I attended the interview and approved, so step 1 completed ✅

Congrats! After seeing your post, I also got a text update that an action was taken on the case. Sure enough, interview scheduled today, although the letter has not shown up under the document tab yet. I expect it to be after July 9th since I filed on May 24th and I have also i751 green card conditional status pending, hopefully it’s a combo interview. Did anyone on the same boat as me have a combo interview in San Francisco already? mind sharing your experiences?
