Hey guys, how are you? I hope everyone is ok! I'm sorry if my post is off topic, if so just delete it.

I'm really anxious to start my life in USA and get a college to start my routine and I graduate. I'm from Brazil and I would like to know what it is required for someone to start a college when it is a GC holder? Is there any test or something like this? Thank you very much!

This site will help you know what tests you need to pass entrance exam

https://www.internationalstudentguidetotheusa.com/articles/which_tests.htm

Pick a college and make an appointment with guidence department

they can help with everything you need to enter

like financail aide (loans, scholarsips, grants, etc)

be prepared for all expenses like gym fees, parking fees, as there are so many on top of the tuition

and most of all, don't be afraid to do this as it greatly will increase your later income

Good luck

] forgot one thing

not knowing your education you could study for GED in your state and then try for college

Hi!

I'm no expert, but as far as I know, there aren't any restrictions for legal residents to attend college and earn advanced degrees.

You would be just as eligible as someone who is a citizen, granted you are able to pay your tuition. Perhaps, legal residents cannot benefit from certain public financial assistance programs, and you might also need to spend some time in your state of residence.

I'd take the time to do some research if I were you. But don't worry too much, and good luck to you.

legal residency in the state allows for residency tuition instead of out of state (twice the costs)

but person is not here yet,  they are planning

look at prospective colleges online to see what courses and degrees are offered in  your area

BTW by the time you are accepted and gone thru the steps for entrance, more than likely you will be a state resident

my husband had a 2 year accounting degreee from Morocco but in Tn where we are a person can go to a 2 year community college free if he has a GED so we went that way

and there is financial aide for foreigners (several programs)

you just have to search and search

this is not a form of welfare benefits
