Yup, no interview just approved and GC in the mail. Not everyone has to go to an interview. Each case is unique in it's own way so.

I'm assuming because you had to go the I-129F route that helped not have to go through the interview again?

Why can't I post anymore to this thread??

She used to run away from her parents place as a kid alot, and has made pretty impulsive decisions before. Idk, those might be irrelevant but might've played a part.

And yes, that's exactly what she said. That she was tired of me belittling her and criticizing her. I didn't realize I was doing this and I felt incredibly sorry for hurting her like that... I didn't have her high enough on my priority list either. I've pointed out all of the things I thought I was doing wrong to her and how I will fix them and she was still set in her decision...

Perhaps she just needs a cooling off period (hence all the deletion of you from her accounts).

Perhaps she is trying to give you a wake up call of what life without her would be like (if she thinks you think she's a bad person all the time).

Possibility she may be thinking of a legal separation/divorce and just hasn't reached that decision in her mind yet (still weighing all the factors).

Unfortunately you'll never know which one of the three until she contacts you somehow.  No way of reaching out to one of her friends to approach her on your behalf so you can at least see where you stand with her at this point?

Correct. People adjusting from K-1 status may not have an interview. However, this does not apply to the OP's situation as they are not adjusting from a  K-1. They are not eligible for an interview waiver (not saying you suggested they were...just want to make it clear to the OP that an interview is required in his case).

True,  I assumed that's why he was having one because of changing from one status to another. Originally though the OP is the one who asked about the interview (why we had none) and just assumed it was because we did a K-1, just wanted to clarify to the OP a lot of K-1's do in fact have interviews.

Also, if all that matters is that the marriage was bonafide at time of adjudication is it advised to say that she is not willing to work out the relationship at the interview? I assume you need to at least say that you have the motive to try and work things out in the interview, no?

You are not listening.

Don't know why you're attacking me but no. I did everything I could by myself and talked to lawyers myself, counselors myself. Tried all that I could to talk to my wife again. But my parents were the ones that advised that that is what I do after I felt like I've exhausted all my options.

And your parents gave you some of the absolute worse advice possible.  I'm betting the lawyers and counselors gave you some good advice, but they weren't telling you what YOU wanted to hear.  In any case at this point you would be best to forget about the GC, stay far away from your parents and concentrate on getting out of this marriage unscathed.  That would mean talking to your almost ex and filing for a mutual agreement divorce.  Believe you me it will save you a lot of heartache money and troubles in the future.

Ohh and did I mention stay away from your parents?

Gotcha. I will take yall's advice and not do what my parents advised me to. I'm sorry for posting that.

Jeez... I'm just a regular guy that doesn't know the ins and outs of law. I apologize for that post. Like I said, I'm not going that route and not listening to that kind of advice. You're putting character judgements onto me when that idea wasn't even mine to begin with.

how long were you guys even married for?  and how long after did you AOS?  seems like everything happened pretty quick:/

K1s dont always get interviews.

ALL F1 and people AOS from a B2 (overstay, ect) will ALWAYS have an interview. no way around this.

Also, AOS through an F1 are heavily scrutinized! so therefore, even if your marriage is still together, you would have a very very hard interview (much harder then a B2, VWP overstay ect.)

you wont get a greencard. sorry your wife decided she is over the relationship and moved on. you need to move on to! unfortunately, because you applied for the AOS you are now on the immigraiton radar. if you did not apply for a greencard, you could live in the USA illegally and no one would notice you.  Unfortunately, now bc you applied you will be revoked and go into removal proceedings.  whether you decide to leave the country is another thing. The usa wont force you to leave for a while but you are in removal proceedings.

also, just because you did it the 'right way' and stayed legal all these years does not mean you 'deserve' a greencard or would have less scrutiny.

no offence, the interview is to judge the validity of the marriage.  not whether you were here legally or not.

right now you need to leave or wait to be in deportation proceedings. they wont physically deport you right away though.

When did I say that's how I wanted to solve the situation? It's something my parents came up with, not something I actually did or that I thought of. Jesus Christ is it not okay to ask my parents for advice when I'm going through a difficult time in my life?  I get it, I'm a bad person thats why my wife left me but that's also why I seeked counseling to help find methods to correct my behavior. If any mod can close this thread/delete my accounts that'd be great, thanks everyone for the input.

Attacking and judging is rarely helpful for anyone.  The OP is clearly desperate and we don't have full insight.  I do not condone the idea that was put forward by their parents, however, they have already recognized this isn't the right path.  It is harmful to try to make them feel worse, especially when you have no idea how low they already are.

OP, I am sorry that your marriage has broken down and that you are at a loss of how to move forward.  I recommend you look back at the initial responses to this post that impart helpful advice.
