221g AP changed to Ready

Hi all, my AP changed to ready but it still says Immigrant visa, should it say Non Immigrant visa at this point or does that come later?

Ours was in AP for like 2 days, but then it flipped back to "Ready" and then next day "Issued". We were under immigrant visa status whole time through CEAC. Seems to vary for some people though.

I had to send off additional information, I just hope the information I sent off was good enough! They received my medical aswell yesterday, today updated once in the morning (still AP) and then once about 2 hours ago changing to Ready, but still is IV not NIV

It may flip back and forth a little then since they had to receive information and medical. At this point I wouldn't stress and just try to be patient as can be.

It is somewhat dependent on the person updating at the consulate. They may or may not choose an appropriate status, and they certainly aren't specific. They could still be waiting on something like a security check or waiting on the officer to give the final approval. You can't read too much into this status thing. They aren't always reflective of what's going on or updated properly. The switch to nonimmigrant is a clue you are getting close to Issued.
