Visa being delivered tomorrow, recieved the email and called courier today to check.

Interview was last Friday, so that will be 7 days from Interview to VOH.

Thanks for the update, you've just made my day!!  Fingers crossed mine will be here this week then - I'm so sick of FaceTime.

My POE was yesterday in JFK.

Long line for the standard visa queue (ESTA people included). I waited here maybe 1+ hour. The officer ripped open my BBE without looking which made me a bit anxious as I was very careful not to damage it. Didn't really say anything to me other than to follow him but I knew I was basically going to secondary. Waited another hour or two at secondary until they picked up my case. They asked me when I was getting married to which I replied ASAP and then I was free to go.

I surprised my fiance at work and now here I am in the US. It's a bit bittersweet as it was a very long wait since June, caused some major issues with my relationship, and now I very much miss my life in London. The plan is to move to SF in 2 months (I work in tech) but for now i'm in miserable NY with no ability to work. I guess I'm here now so time to start fresh and see what this new life brings me! Good luck to everyone else.

Hey guys! Currently waiting for my interview any day now. Is it optional to have your packet and passport mailed or can it be picked up from the embassy?

Just trying  to plan with moving out/address it could be sent to/etc

No pick up at the embassy, but there is pick up at a courier depot. Prior to your interview date when you make the courier arrangements online, pick depot if you don't want to have it delivered to an address. You can put any address for the home delivery option. It doesn't have to be the one on file at the embassy. This is between you and the courier where it goes.

Thanks for the info about POE and sorry to hear you're having a hard time.  Hopefully you'll get stuck in to US life and be loving it all soon - and on the plus side, you don't have to listen to people arguing about Brexit 24/7 anymore.

I totally feel your frustration about wait times/strain on the relationship. Hopefully you are staying warm in the snow storm right now!
