Don't worry about it for three to five days, then you'll get a response to your request. If they reject you, you can submit a new request in five days if I remember right. If they didn't reject you, they will be asking for the fax.

You can contact congressman/senator at any time (I mean, as soon as possible), asking them to submit expedite request for you, this is not the same channel as the phone request.

Thank you for the response. If I can submit a new request in five days, it could still work out.

I called my congresswoman´s office and they told me that USCIS changed their process two years ago and congress people can no longer file expedite requests for constituents. She said that she could only submit a case inquiry for my case. I will bring all documents to them on Friday.

Thanks again, this is nerve wracking.

04/15/19: Received date

05/15/19: Biometrics done

06/07/19: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview

03/19/20: Interview cancelled due to Covid

09/04/2020: Interview date

10/22/2020: I-130 approval

10/30/2020: I-485 approval

Just FYI, when I contacted my congressman with all the documents, his office submitted everything to USCIS on the same day and told me that he submitted an inquiry on my behalf. So I specifically asked him does "inquiry" mean he inquired about the status of my case, or that he submitted the expedite request for me, he says the latter.

When I contacted senator, they replied that they've contacted USCIS on my behalf (didn't specify what kind of contact), but I did get email from them a week later that the case is routed for expedite.

This is interesting. The person I spoke to told me that only I can request an expedite, which did not seem to match other people's experiences here.

When I inquired why she said that she has been working there for 9 years and that the rules changed 2 years ago: congresspeople are no longer able to submit expedite requests, only inquiries. Hmmm...

It seems to me that it depends on each congressional office or maybe each state.. just my guess

That’s really strange. I contacted my congresswomen over a week ago and someone responded to me today saying my “case has been routed for expedited processing” and we should have an answer in 5-7 business days. Not sure how true that is. The anxiety is really starting to kill me. This process is a never ending uphill battle.

Hi! May I ask at what time of the day did you get the notification that the card is mailed? I'm on day 5 of "card is being produced" and the status hasn't changed yet.

It was later in the day on a Friday, I believe.  I’ll have to check my texts (which I kept!  😁).

Anyone can share how many days it takes from "card being produced" to "card mailed"? I am on Day 6 and there's no status change or informed delivery forecast yet. I saw most people's card mail out within 3 to 4 business days so I'm getting anxious again.

Prayers to all those out there waiting for the next status change, in whatever stage.

I filed an expedite on 31st May under 'Severe financial loss'.

On 6th June, I faxed evidence as per the E Mail USCIS sent me.

Since then a big FAT NOTHING!

My Senator has contacted them and they said it could be at least 30 days so not to expect to hear anything until after the 4th July holiday.

I have called USCIS twice and spoken to Tier 2 officers who have issued requests for info, but still nothing.

Here is what my online account looks like. Did anyone else have a similar situation? Should I be worried? The wait and worry is driving me mad!

Ok, it just turned to card mailed! I should have more patience I guess. But maybe posting on this forum is some sort of good luck that propelled this?

Keep praying for all who are waiting.

It looks like they just touched your case again on June 27 (and touched not for general inquiry but for expedite request), which is a good sign? I feel like your time is about to come. I saw several cases in which people wait a solid three weeks after fax. I hope you get the card in production message tomorrow!

This might be an overkill or double-insurance, but maybe you can contact a congressman at this point? I contacted congressman first, got the wait 30 days reply, then contacted senator two weeks later. Still don't know which channel worked.

The expedite enquiry from today, is a result of the call I made. Still nothing on the system from NBC according to the officer 😞 I am hoping that I will get some kind of communication within 5 days as she said, but I am not holding my breath. I just want to know 100% that they received my fax, that's all.

Did you get some confirmative answer from senator that your case is routed for expedite? If so, less need to worry I guess

No the senators office, simply said she had contacted USCIS, spoken to them and they told her that we have to wait 30 days before they can give any information, or words to that effect. The senators office has basically said sit tight until after the 4th July holidays. I am speaking to the Congresswoman's office on Monday.

It's been 17 days now since we faxed our documents to USCIS and not a word. I've reached out to both senators with no response and the ombudsman just emailed us today saying our case was not an emergency and will remain closed with their office so no help there. The congresswoman's office told me on Tuesday that our case was routed for expedited processing and we should have a response in 5-7 business days but I don't know what to think anymore. Do these expedite requests get denied very often? I feel physically ill with anxiety from this whole process.

I totally understand your physical pain from this process! Since most congressman give the 30-day response,  I think your congressman giving you a 5-7 business day time range is great news, which probably have to do with the fact that your fax is already with USCIS for more than two weeks.
