May 31st - requested EAD+AP expedite over the phone

June 3rd - email saying they cannot expedite because I didn't send evidence (which they never asked for)

June 10th - congressman's office requested expedite directly and sent 13 pieces of evidence for me (cover letter, bills, job offer letters)

June 12th - received email through congressman's office saying "this case will be routed for expedite"

June 17th - "New Card is being Produced" for EAD case number

Good luck!

Congratulations to all who have gotten their EADs expedited recently!!! It must be such a huge wave of relief :)

I'm starting to lose hope on mine... I submitted it over the phone on April 29th and faxed the evidence a couple of days later, got both my senator and congressman involved and still have not heard anything. I spoke to a Tier 2 officer yesterday who was unhelpful at best and a bit rude lol.. It's just hard because I had to resign from my job a month ago and my employer is waiting for me to go back to work. The expedite itself was also partly due to financial loss to the company so they really need me to go back to working. Hoping we all get some good news soon!!

This is when, I think, it might be time to gain the assistance of an Attorney (and ONLY at this point - because really, truthfully, we all could be doing the ENTIRE process WITHOUT an Attorney and save a poop-ton of money...I digress...) to move these along.

TBH, I still believe that the "involvement" of my congresswomen in my Expedite request resulted in a negligible, if ANY enhancement to my self-initiated Expedite request.  Please don't take this the wrong way, but I believe that you probably have been failed to be notified that they didn't approve your Expedite request (for whatever reason), and you are back in the routine processing segment.  Having said that, other than the Attorney route, can you not initiate a NEW expedite request, and reconstruct a ROCK-SOLID supporting-evidence package, perhaps garnering the attention of a different Expedite officer?

Another reason why I haven't come back to the board and just gloated about the stage I'm at now, because so many of US continue to suffer extreme frustration and despair over this process.....

Thanks for your advice! It's actually nice to hear the success stories too and know that at least some of us are getting some relief in this beyond frustrating process. That's what I was starting to worry about too (that they denied it and just never told me about it) but I confirmed with two different officers that there's been no decision made so I just picture my package untouched somewhere in a basement lol.

I hadn't really considered submitting a second request but I might do that in a couple of days if there's still no update. I thought I had pretty strong evidence to begin with as I'm the only employee globally in a company of ~4000 employees that has a specific specialized skill that I use pretty much every day and one of three employees that have another specialized skill. My employer wrote a letter explaining this and detailing how and why it is a financial loss for them due to the client-facing nature of the work. I also obviously provided additional evidence on my side supporting the financial loss claim for both my company and myself. So not sure what else I can provide but I guess it can't hurt to resubmit everything.. sorry about venting haha :P

Hi! Thanks for your input. Could you elaborate a bit about how getting an attorney can offer additional help in this expedite process? I ask because from what I read online, several ppl reported their attorney discouraging them from submitting expedite, while they eventually succeeded doing that on their own. So a bit info into whether attorneys have different channels/approaches would be really helpful to know! Thanks!

Hi there:

Truth be told, I have an active G28 for all my applications, and even though I did ALL the work for the Expedite request (in which even my OWN attorney claimed was a very rare success rate), the angle of using an attorney at this point might be to ensure accountability. I also don’t suspect the Congresswoman involved in my case did not have an effect as to the speed and success do my Expedite request.

You should definitely resubmit everything! Have you got the congressman's office to help? If you have the same as mine (I live in Rosslyn) then PM me for the email of the congressman's office immigration guy who helped me.

I submitted evidence to expedite my EAD 05/31/2019 based on pending job offer. Had our local congressman follow up on our case who then received acknowledgment from USCIS on 06/14/2019 who advised it would be routed for expediting consideration (they could not provide time frames due to high volume of cases). Today I received a notification that our I-485 case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. Not sure if the EAD expedite had anything to do with this? Still awaiting outcome of the expedite request. Any similar experiences out there?

My timeline can be found on the signature section for your reference. I got approved within 10 days after USCIS confirming they received my fax docs. I faxed them on the 5th day since my offer letter was set to expired on the 17th of June. I just added to my original cover letter this part in addition to everything else I mentioned on the original letter regarding the financial loss and checklist of docs:

"Dear USCIS Officer,

I, abcd, contacted your office on May 23, 2019, in reference to my I-765 Application for Employment Authorization to respectfully request to have my case expedited based on a severe financial loss to me.

I faxed proof my job offer letter along with other documents proving the severe financial loss to me, in response to your request for additional information, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, to LAxx, Div xx, Team xx. As this offer of employment expires on June 17, 2019, at 5 PM, I am desperately in need of your immediate attention and approval for my case.

then the rest of my original content"
