You should start at page 1 - there is a lot of good information in this thread.

Especially detailing the process.

Every time that an officer looks at your case you will receive those prompts on your case status page.

Good luck!

Hey, Question! when your EAD got approved. Do the Approval letters show as a package or just the EAD on informed delivery? I just got a text message saying a package is coming and is on Pre shipment info for a USPS facility as of 04/30. Would that be my EAD of just the approval letter?

No - the approval letters are regular mail letters which show up as scanned letters in your informed delivery dashboard / email.

When you you get the EAD it is a piece that requires a signature. If you log in to informed delivery you will be able to see the coming soon packages and it should say USCIS with the tracking number. That is the Combo card.

Sounds like that is your Combo Card if it is from USCIS.

I am unsure what you mean by acceptance? But it sounds like the EAD AP card.

It is frustrating the lack of consistency with updates and NOA’s.

I am traveling in just over 2 weeks! Can’t wait.

Oh I meant the shipping status for USPS shows its in acceptance. It says coming from USCIS- LEES SUMMIT PRODUCTION FACILITY.

Very frustrating.

Nice, we're hoping to go back to my country for a weekend if it gets here on time, I'm just surprised at how fast they're shipping it since it just updated yesterday to Card being produced. :)

Posted this in the March Filers thread, but will post it again here since it's more specific to the topic:

I still haven't received any word that USCIS has received our EAD expedite supporting evidence documents, even though we sent them to their fax line on the 16th. I just re-faxed them today.... I also contacted Congress, and while they said they would update me with developments / cc me on correspondence, I haven't received any updates there either.

(In fact, we haven't even received the letter requesting supporting evidence yet, and it's been nearly 3 weeks. They said it was sent via letter and not email. We were able to get the information by calling initially, but just don't have the time to be on hold for 2+ hours to find out more since we both work).

Any tips/suggestions/thoughts? Is it possible the original fax just didn't send properly?

2019-03-19: AOS concurrent filing (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131) sent; AOS from F-1 Visa

2019-03-26: All NOA1s received (dated 3-21)

2019-04-05: Received biometrics notice

2019-04-08: Walk-in biometrics completed

2019-04-10: Received email that case is ready to be scheduled for an interview

2019-04-16: Received email that interview was scheduled

2019-05-28: Green card approved at end of interview; email that case was approved received shortly after!

2021-03-06: I-751 package sent (delivered 03-09)

2021-04-02: $680 personal check fee cashed

2021-04-06: I-797 NOA (18-month extension letter) received, dated 04-01

Honestly all you can do is wait, the letter can take up to two-three weeks if they sent it by mail. Are you going to expedite on financial loss? ask your congressman to submit it for you. Some of them don't respond until after 20 days when they get a response from uscis.

Hmm, okay. I'll continue to keep an out eye for the mail, then.

Yes, we expedited on severe financial loss. Our congressperson finally got back to us this morning - it looks like they sent our materials, along with a cover letter of their own, to USCIS a day or two ago. Knock on wood this process starts to move along again.

If your interview is scheduled, you're probably going to get your GC before your EAD.

Yeah, that's my guess. I just get paranoid by the stories of people who go to their interview and don't hear anything for months. It would be a real pain for my wife to lose her job if that occurred and her EAD didn't come in time either. I'm probably being overly cautious, but I want to pursue all avenues until we have certainty.

I've seen that if your interview is scheduled they won't bother with the EAD, if your wife filed for renewal you should have received an extension, did that expire ?

Oh really? That could certainly be why we've heard nothing then. She's still just operating off of her non-STEM OPT, so nothing we can extend.
