Guys!! My I-765 changed to “New Card is Being Produced”!!! I am so happy I got teary eyed. I had already postponed my start date for the job once and I was dreading having to do it again but now the miracle happened! I have no idea if the Congressman’s office made it happen or it was just USCIS getting to my case, but I do not really care! I can finally start working and not be a couch potato.

I am writing my EAD expedite timeline here, maybe it helps anyone:

Oct 17 - Placed the request via phone
Oct 18 - Received email to fax job offer, faced the same day
Oct 26 - RFE was mailed for I-485, all cases on hold
Nov 7 - USCIS received my response to the RFE, cases resumed processing
Nov 15 - New card is being produced

I am elated. Now I don’t really care how long the interview for the GC will take. I will be able to work and live as usual, taking my mind off it. Good luck to everyone!

09/24 - Package delivered to the Chicago Lockbox

09/28 - Credit card charged for $535 and $1225

10/02 - 4 texts received

10/09 - received 4 NOAs in the mail

10/17 - expedited EAD request, faxed proof the next day

10/22 - early biometrics walk-in

10/26 - "We mailed an RFE for I-485"

11/3 - received RFE in the mail for missing pages on I-864

11/5 - mailed out response to RFE

Thought I'll join into this topic. I requested ead expedite via congressman 11/14 and they sent all the information to USCIS that day. I haven't received any updates yet. Its driving me crazy! Day 117 today! 😤

Even expedite requests are slow at MSC if that's where your application is.

Here is  my timeline and still waiting

10/29- Requested expedite

11/13 - Got letter asking additional evidence for claim made

10/15 - Faxed all the details

10/16 - Senator followed up

No updates after this 😓

Did you mean 11/16 when senator followed up? But I feel you!! Mine was at National benefits center. I hope both our requests are processed! My jobs starting soon and I’m stressing out 😨😨 can’t start until ead is in hand and have to postpone with the employee even more 😩

Yes you are right sorry my bad, now you can imagine my frustration, but thanks for pointing out the dates

Moreover National Benefit Center is MSC which is the slowest center in processing EAD, AFAIK they are processing July EAD now

Here is the updated timeline

My PD was actually in July, I haven’t had a single update from them since the congressman requested expedite, should I call USCIS directly and ask if expedite was received?! My work starts in a little over a week from today and I am stressing out!

Its not about PD, its about when the application for 765 received by MSC. Also please call customer care and ask if they see any expedite request. If not i would suggest your create the request and than ask your congressman to follow up by providing the request number. That's what i did.

Thank you! As an update, I called customer service and they said if congressman submitted the expedite, there won't be an update on the online thing and asked me to wait for 2 more weeks and then call back... 😓

My PD and receipt date for 765 is one and the same :) Since they're processing July right now, I hope mine gets approved either through expedite or normal processing. This process is testing my patience.

Hello All,

Just wanted to give you all an update on my expedite request. I received the approval notice in the mail today for both employment and advance parole. Yayyy. I am so happy, didn't expect to get these since it's was a holiday last week. I don't know what helped but I strongly encourage you to visit your local USCIS and ask them to assist you with the expedite. I also sent an expedite request with supporting document via mail to the NBC in Missouri even though they didn't send me request for evidence or anything. See below for my timeline:

- Priority Date: Sept-27

- Biometrics: Oct-22

- 1st Expedite request via phone: Oct-23

- 2nd Expedite request via phone: Oct-29. I never received a request for additional evidence

- Senator office asking for help: November-5

- Visit local USCIS asking for help: November-9. They actually helped me fax all my documents and put some note on their system.

- Send mail with supporting documents to NBC in Missouri: November-20

Good luck y'all.

Hi everyone, I’ve been waiting patiently for my EAD to get approved for almost 6 months now (a few days shy) and still haven’t received anything. I’ve heard and read from many people’s posts on how they reached out to their congressman, senator etc to help expedite the process. Can someone please explain what exactly to do and who to reach out to? Do I need to have certain documents collected to prove anything? How do I reach out to them? What exactly do I say to them? For those of you that did this, can you please share your experience?

thanks in advance!

Hello. 6 months waiting is way too long. I would go crazy if I have to wait that long. You can go on uscis.gov portal and submit a service request for the out of processing time. Normally, it will trigger someone to look at your case.

Regarding contacting congressman, normally before they help you with anything, they will ask if you are qualified for an expedite request. If yes, they will collect all supporting document from you. I basically provided a cover letter explaining why I need an expedite due to financial loss and then I provide all the documentation to support that. Hope this helps.

I actually asked to get it expedited early on but they said I have to wait at least 6 months bc it’s considered within the normal waiting period. So trust me I am going crazy haha.

What are the qualifications? Where can I get all that information from? So what is also considered a financial loss to them? My husband works full time but I’m currently just living off my savings plus my husband helping out but I’m losing a lot and need to get back to working so what exactly do I need to show them?

thanks :)
