I still haven't received any email or letter from them since I raised the 2nd request on Oct-29. This is so frustrating and I can't wait to get this all over with!

Requested to expedite on October 17, faxed proof on October 18. They mailed out an RFE on October 26, I received in the mail on November 3. Today I mailed out the response to the RFE with express mail and will arrive tomorrow. I hope they will process my response and get that EAD going. I'll have to talk to HR in my company and delay my start date.

09/24 - Package delivered to the Chicago Lockbox

09/28 - Credit card charged for $535 and $1225

10/02 - 4 texts received

10/09 - received 4 NOAs in the mail

10/17 - expedited EAD request, faxed proof the next day

10/22 - early biometrics walk-in

10/26 - "We mailed an RFE for I-485"

11/3 - received RFE in the mail for missing pages on I-864

11/5 - mailed out response to RFE

Hi all,

I applied to expedite my EAD based on hard financial situation and pending job offer and got denied by USCIS yesterday.

I understand many people getting it in K-1 status expedited but what did I do wrong? What maybe I didn't provide?

I sent them a letter describing my hard financial situation and attached a job offer. Was it not enough you think?

Thank you.

Hi everyone,

Your feedback has been helping everyone so far I must say I appreciate the sharing of knowledge and must commend you guys I feel so supported reading everyone's case.

I need a little help, I have done my biometrics and awaiting my EAD but my bank account is shrinking, I met a lady who said she is willing to offer me a job as her admin assistant for her salon to manage things there because she is getting old. She doesnt't have insurance or any benefits really just the salary and some vacation. I asked her for a job letter for me to commence and she said she will provide same shortly. Does USCIS accept job letters from small entities like these? She is a sole trader and currently has 4 employees.

Or will I have to get a job offer from a really big PLC company?

I really would appreciate your feedback.

I also called and submitted the 2nd expedite request on Oct 29 and still haven't received any mail or email requesting for evidence. Every single time I called them , they gave me different info so I feel so helpless. Went to senator office yesterday and really hope they could help me out. Only 2 weeks left until my current EAD expires.

Hey.  How is your new job going? Bet it's great to be busy again and interacting with new faces

Congresswoman is finally helping today, she has the privacy release and job offer and the company is holding the position for another 2 weeks but they are a bit annoyed, which is fair it's been almost 6 weeks since the offer was made. It took a lot of  calling and emails and leaving multiple voicemails, the day we visited the immigration lady wasn't there and we were told she is often not in the office.... I find it so ironic because the campaign slogan is "we know what a job means to a family" uhm, right.

I was told that the expedite would not be looked at because I requested it on the 27th and an officer picked up my case on the 25th. I called a few days later again and a different officer told me he would send a internal email to ask the officer for a case update... that was 7 days ago. Still no case update.

Hey! Not sure how I missed your msg!

Work is good. It’s new to be out of the house more!

The congressmans staff are both a help and a pain the in backside. They know you can’t do it without them, so your have to deal with their rubbish service.

Please tell me that youve eard something by now?

Can someone clarify please? After getting the email from Congressman, did you see any update on case status prior to it changing to "Card produced" / "case approved". I am worried that while USCIS sent an email in response to the congressman they are not doing anything with my case. When I called customer service, they told they don't see any request from Congressman to expedite.

My status’ changed when my case updated. It’s changed right up until the gave me my tracking number.

Hi all,

On October 15th I requested my EAD to be expedited, on 16th it was assigned to an officer and on 17th they sent me a mail which I got 5 days after saying that your biometrics is not done yet. I was requesting it due to a job offer on hand starting from October 22nd. So I did biometrics on 30th October as it was scheduled and I reqeustsed to expedite it again on 31st October, it was assigned to an officer on 01 November and then status changed to "response was sent to you"...I got an email requesting more evidence...I faxed it to them in 1 hour after email and then status changed to "your request to expedite was completed". Everything happened on November 01. Then next day...on November 02 dates of each of this 3 steps (assigned to an officer, the response was sent, the request was completed) changed to november 02 from november 01 originally....I don't know why and what does it mean.

So... my question is when they approve it, should status on their website show it was approved or it will say the request was completed in any case? What to expect this time? because employment start date is already in the past (OCT22)...and biometrics is done now.

My timeline:

26th Sept - I requested an expedite based in financial loss and a job

28th Sept - Letter was sent from uscis requesting further info

5th Oct - Recieved letter requesting proof

8th Oct - Sent fax to uscis

15th Oct - EAD Online status changed to ‘Name was updated’

15th Oct - EAD Online status changed to ‘Card is being produced’

15th Oct - I-131 Online status changed to ‘Name was updated’

16th Oct - EAD online status changed to ‘case was approved’

16th Oct - I-131 online status changed to ‘case was approved’

16t Oct - AOS online status changed to ‘Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview’

17th Oct - I-131 online status changed to ‘Card was mailed to you’

recieved the card in hand  on the 24th October

A job offer is a job offer. Just make sure the date is close (but she is willing to extend the start date) and the offer letter clearly states that this is pending work Authorization from uscis.

As I mentioned previously, attach some bills too.

Not sure is USCIS offices will be busy for elections. I guess its the load of naturalization applications because of which these offices are busy !
