Hello All,

I called and put in an expedite request on Oct-23 and until now I still haven't received any letter that request for evidence. I checked online and it show my request is currently not assigned to an officer yet. How long did you usually receive the email to request for evidence after making the call? My current EAD expires on Nov-20 and I am super nervous that I may not get a new EAD by then. I contacted 2 Senators and 1 Rep and no one reply to me yet. This is so stressful!

@eckoin did you receive the “On *** 2018, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1B****9MSC, was completed.” update? How long after that did you receive approval?

I got that update three business days after I submitted the request to expedite.  That status was applied when the letter for additional information was mailed to me (so "completed" meant that someone was assigned to my case and requested more information), and I received that letter in the mail about a week later.  I received the letter on Friday and faxed all the information Friday evening.  Five business days after that (the following Friday), the expedite request was approved.

On average between 3-5 business days to be assigned to an officer who will ask you for more information.  If they mail their request, it might take a week or so to get to you (did for me), obviously if they choose to email it's faster.  Although it seems to be taking longer for people nowadays (and I'm talking the last couple of months it seems to have been taking longer).

I feel like my expedite request moved really quickly--3.5 weeks from the request to card in hand.  If I were you, I'd talk to my boss to make sure there's a contingency plan for if it takes longer, since you didn't leave yourself much wiggle room.  6 weeks is also pretty standard, could be longer.

How are you checking the status of the SR or your actually 765 Status was changed to reflect the status ?

I called again yesterday to follow up on my expedite request and the rep said it still wasn't assigned to an officer so she raise a 2nd request for me. A couple hours later it shows my request has been assigned to an officer and they sent me a response something so I hope to receive the email request for evidence today. If not, I will call them later this afternoon and see if they can read the email to me so I can fax my doc to them.

You have to wait for the letter to come before you can fax them as it states on the letter that it must be attached to fax.

Folks just wanted to know is there a way we can check the status of SR ?

If you're talking about the expedite request (which isn't an SR), then it should show up on egov.uscis.gov under I-765. The "last updated" date itself won't be updated, but under case history it should should that the expedite request was submitted, that it was assigned, that it was completed, etc.

No comments on SR status, not sure how to check those.

@MarksMate hey.

Did you hear anything?

Hey.  How is your new job going? Bet it's great to be busy again and interacting with new faces

Congresswoman is finally helping today, she has the privacy release and job offer and the company is holding the position for another 2 weeks but they are a bit annoyed, which is fair it's been almost 6 weeks since the offer was made. It took a lot of  calling and emails and leaving multiple voicemails, the day we visited the immigration lady wasn't there and we were told she is often not in the office.... I find it so ironic because the campaign slogan is "we know what a job means to a family" uhm, right.

I was told that the expedite would not be looked at because I requested it on the 27th and an officer picked up my case on the 25th. I called a few days later again and a different officer told me he would send a internal email to ask the officer for a case update... that was 7 days ago. Still no case update.

Hi My H1B expired and an extension was denied on 10/13. My timeline is as below. My question is to folks who had received confirmation from Congressman, did you see any update on your case? I called customer service and they told that they do not see any request from Congressman approved. They also do not see any update regarding the proof that I faxed. I have been on Loss of Pay for 3.5 weeks already and my employer is asking me to leave the country and report in an offshore facility to keep the job or he has to terminate my employment.

EB3 India PD 06-MAY-2008

AOS, EAD, AP filed on July 5 2018

Finger Print completed - Aug 3 2018

Requested for expedite SR - Oct 15

Request for expedite SR closed with an update as "Name updated" - Oct 17

Requested for expedite SR second time - Oct 24

Email requesting for additional proof - Oct 29

Faxed additional information - Oct 30 (no update since then)

Requested Congressman for help in parallel - Oct 24

Congressman received below email from USCIS - Oct 31

"Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter.  This case will be routed for expedited processing.  Once this case is reviewed, your constituent will receive a decision or notice of further action.  Due to the extremely high volume of expedite requests for this case type, there are numerous cases involving exigent or humanitarian issues already in the expedite queue, and we are unable to provide a specific timeframe for the expedited review."

Can someone clarify please? After getting the email from Congressman, did you see any update on case status prior to it changing to "Card produced" / "case approved". I am worried that while USCIS sent an email in response to the congressman they are not doing anything with my case. When I called customer service, they told they don't see any request from Congressman to expedite.

Hi all,

On October 15th I requested my EAD to be expedited, on 16th it was assigned to an officer and on 17th they sent me a mail which I got 5 days after saying that your biometrics is not done yet. I was requesting it due to a job offer on hand starting from October 22nd. So I did biometrics on 30th October as it was scheduled and I reqeustsed to expedite it again on 31st October, it was assigned to an officer on 01 November and then status changed to "response was sent to you"...I got an email requesting more evidence...I faxed it to them in 1 hour after email and then status changed to "your request to expedite was completed". Everything happened on November 01. Then next day...on November 02 dates of each of this 3 steps (assigned to an officer, the response was sent, the request was completed) changed to november 02 from november 01 originally....I don't know why and what does it mean.

So... my question is when they approve it, should status on their website show it was approved or it will say the request was completed in any case? What to expect this time? because employment start date is already in the past (OCT22)...and biometrics is done now.
