Awesome. My husband already

has someone who can offer him a job/job offer letter but we haven't done biometrics yet so waiting on that. I feel the Florida offices have been doing a decent job. I am in Jacksonville.

I heard that someone on here was able to expedite their I765 without biometrics so I thought I would try to do the same. I called USCIS on Monday to request expedite and I got an email this morning saying I am unable to expedited until biometrics have been completed.

It's kind of frustrating that some get biometrics waived and others cannot.. i guess that's just the luck of USCIS for ya!

If you don't mind me asking, what did they ask you during the call? Did u have to email the evidence as to why you wanted the case expedited?

She listed the reasons you can request an expedite and then asked me which category I fell under. Here is a link to all the reasons...

https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-information/how-make-expedite-request

I told her I had a job offer and that we were experiencing severe financial loss due to only one person in the household being able to work (my USC spouse). She didn't ask for any evidence. She said I may need to provide evidence after my case was assigned to a local officer.

She then lodge my request, gave me a confirmation number and told me someone will email me when my case got assigned. The next morning I got an email saying they can't process my request until I've done biometrics. My local office is Phoenix... so I can only speak on behalf of how they are handling such requests.

Thanks

My apologies.. I just re-read my email and it came from the National Benefits Center. It seems the request never reached a local office and was denied at the NBC due to lack of biometrics.

Yes all local offices are closed. Guess I will wait until they reopen early June.

i485 went from RFE response received to ready to schedule interview but EAD still shows as expedite approved with no decision from Jan 3rd.

I am on the same boat as you buddy...got RFE on April 10th and after that heard nothing from them. Do u have any ideas what I can do to follow up with them for the EAD as its been more than 40 days they approved my expedite request and took no action after that.

My expedite was approved 6 days ago and now nothing. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Very stressful as I am going to lose our only family income in 2 weeks if I do not receive my new EAD

I thought the expedite approval was the end of all this stress. But I guess USCIS can always serve up more :(

My expedite got approved on April 8th and still no update. I have been following up with the USCIS daily but all they say is to wait. My employer keeps on asking when can you join us and I have no answer to his question. I am really annoyed with the process as they do not care about applicant’s urgency.

Wow, I didn't realize it could take that long. Guess my wife and I will lose our health insurance during a global pandemic :(

My wife has no job as she got laid off and I think my employer won’t wait so long to offer me job so we won’t be able to survive as well.
