EAD Expedite Timeline After Fax Request

Based on updates USCIS have been posting, they have been working on EADs alot and from various categories.

Could be that they had to get the infrastructure and practicalities in order to be able to adjudicate from home. What I've noticed is purely anecdotical, but it seemed like no one got any meaningful progression in the past month or so and now it seems like the floodgates are open again judging by VJ member's self-reporting. 

 

Either way, things are looking hopeful. And in these times it is beneficial for everyone to be authorised to work so we can come out of this without too many issues.

Question to all: I called USCIS to request expedeite 4 work days ago and haven't received an email or letter yet. When would you call then again?

You haven't received a decision on the expedite request? You should've heard something within 5 days after requesting the expedite. I'd suggest calling, asking for a T2 officer and requesting they put in a service request based on administrative error. What this essentially does is trigger someone to look at your case and if it falls outside of the processing window, to then act on it.

Thats the one thing I have been wondering about. Some say they stopped processing new SSN while some say they are. The ones that say they are sounds more legit to me so I am sticking to it. This enitire process I have been using predictions, statistics and common sense lol.

What @Poseidon1212 said! The first time I called to expedite, I waited for a week and no response. So I called again to inquire and it turned out that someone put the wrong receipt number. So they put in another expedite request for me and the next morning I received the email telling me to fax evidence.

What a people working at USCIS  (I don't know what department exactly responsible for AED)!
 During coronavirus-time when almost everyone struggling, especially in the cities where issued a shelter-in-place order, when thousands people lost their jobs, they denied my request 😭. I guess in their opinion it's not the time when people need to work 😡.

Dang, sorry to hear, just look at everything you have an you can always try again. Gotta make sure your evidence is strong.

Just checked Informed Delivery, and I see a letter coming from NBC, could be the EAD approval letter. Also saw a tracking number added to Informed Delivery. Would be great if its the actual EAD 😁
