Has anyone got experience with a successful expedite that already has an EAD in hand?

I have my OPT EAD that does not expire until the end of the summer but have applied for AOS through marriage and really need AP to continue being effective at my job. I am supposed to travel 50%+ internationally and not being able to do so is causing a financial loss for my company.

Hi all, new to this thread but we're currently adjusting from a K1 concurrently (i-485/i-765/i-131). Last night we called to request an expedite on my husband's i-765 as he has an active job offer. We went through all the usual steps on the phone, provided the receipt # and the agent read it back to us correctly multiple times. We also reiterated multiple times about the job offer and selected financial loss as the category. This morning we checked the status on all 3 of our cases and see "Expedite request received" only on our i-131.

I understand the EAD/AP is a combo card and have seen people request expedite for one and get both approved, so we're wondering...since we filed concurrently does this matter that it's not documented on the actual i-765 case? Or should we call again and clarify?

Feel like this might just be an error on the agent's part but not really sure how to proceed.

Call them again and let them know just for clarity but normally your i-765 case status would show the expedite information.

Have you been contacted to submit your evidence?

I have seen a few people report being issued the combo card but wondered if this was actually part of a normal process rather than a pure expedite.

No we are still waiting for that. I'm assuming (and hope) that letter will have the correct case # on it. If it does, I think we're okay. If not, I guess we'll have to call

Maybe give it a couple of days, with everything else going on difficult to know how time lines will be hit.

Well we got a letter in the mail today that confirmed the USCIS agent filed our expedite request under the wrong case #. We called tonight to let them know of the error and the new agent that we spoke with was incredibly helpful and understanding. She allowed us to file a new request and took down our reasons for needing the expedite under financial loss. She triple verified all our info and said we'll hear from them within 5 days.

Not all hope is lost lol

USCIS let me know they've received my response to the trigger RFE so I guess we're back on track.

I might request expeditious handling again tomorrow just in case the underlying 485's RFE effectively nullified the expedite approval.

Yep, the USCIS rep put in a new expedite request just to be safe. Still waiting for the follow up on that though. Literally was on the phone with them to ask about it as you tagged me, no news yet. Still waiting for them to request me for additional info.

Ok I left a call back because that wait time was crazy so when they call me I will see if they say anything different and let you know too. Would really love this EAD right now because jobs are being cancelled for my wife like crazy.

Would appreciate that. My wife is told to 'work from home' for free so that EAD would be welcome.
