Hi Guys,

I got my EAD card today finalyyyyy!

My timeline:

2/3 send expedite request

2/4 fax

2/10 approved expedite request

2/28 "case is approved" , "card is produced"

3/2 receive noa letter (ead+AP approve)

3/3 "card is mailed to me"

3/4 receive my card in mailbox

total 100 days since I filed in Nov 26.

I think the delayed process is from the 485. They have to check if you have REF, then make a decision for the case.

I have a question: since I already have my SSN, should I go to SSA update it with my currect EAD card?

Thank you all! Good luck!

yea. I had one back in college too. Tell the agent you want a replacement card and update for removal of restrictions because your status changed. You should get a letter stamped and signed to say you can work immediately. CONGRATS

EAD, and passport. I also previously had a state ID so I brought it. Takes 1-4 weeks after verification of documents.

My understanding, this may be way off the mark, is that if apply once you have the EAD in hand and apply from your local SSA office then it takes weeks.

if you do not have your card 7 business days after you receive the EAD you can call the SSA and ask them where your application is in the process.

i am waiting for my children’s SSN to arrive so I can get them out to work so understand your frustration with the waiting.

Your request is assigned to an officer. They will send you an email with asking for proof. Then it will change to response received in 4-5 days once you send fax. After that they will approve/deny your case then card will be mailed.

Hi Guys,

Any idea what all documents to send when USCIS officer asks for additional documents required to make a decision on EAD expedite request?

I raised my expedite request on the grounds of financial loss to myself and have a valid job offer from a company which wants me to start working with them as soon as I get EAD.

What other documents are required to be sent apart from job offer letter?

It varies, but bills, mortgages, loans, insurance etc would be helpful.

Documents the support your financial situation. This will depend on your personal situation.

Evidence of your job offer. a letter from your Employer should suffice.
