Hope it is something simple. What is your expedite timeline? And what did you submit?

Wow  that's crazy.. Didn't know they'd suspend an approval due to RFIE. So weird.

10/30/2020 - Case status changed to 'Interview was scheduled'

11/04/2020 - Received the Interview appointment letter - scheduled in old state North Carolina for December 3rd

11/05/2020 - Called USCIS and requested to talk to Tier 2 officer - opened an SR

11/06/2020 - Received an email that the request was closed as they couldn't contact me - but they didn't

11/09/2020 - Opened another SR to talk to a Tier 2 officer

11/16/2020 - Tier 2 officer called and said that we need to interview at our home state, but I could take a chance and go to North Carolina.  So I requested to reschedule interview at Dallas, TX.

11/17/2020 - Received an email - my request to reschedule interview has been forwarded to a scheduling department

Made the expedite request via customer service about a week before Christmas. I got the email requesting expedite evidence on dec 26th and sent a reply same day (agent told me to prepare evidence so I was ready by the time I got the request). Didn’t get a reply so I re-faxed the evidence a week later. The very next day (Jan 3rd) status changed to expedite approved.

Two days later I received an RFE on my main AOS request. Employment authorization remains unchanged as expedite approved. Called customer service to ask if this affected my expedite request and it was confirmed by both agent and tier 2 officer.

Begged them to sent the RFE via email so I can get it moving but was told I had to wait for snail mail (that did not arrive until Jan 20, longest wait ever!) just responded today.

For expedite evidence, I sent cover letter, active job offer,  student loans and recommendations from last dentist visit.

My guess is if RFE request was not missing in my initial filing this would’ve been processed already because the officer assigned reviewed two days after approval. Hopefully I will have the same luck once my response makes it out of the mailroom next week.

So sorry to hear that.

I also had a RFIE, responded almost 3 months ago, requested for EAD expedition this month.

Today my I485 changed to ready to schedule an interview.

Based on your experience and mine, I'm just wondering, if you want USCIS to response to your RFIE faster, send in a EAD expedition!

Hope your process will go smoothly, good luck!

i485 went from RFE response received to ready to schedule interview but EAD still shows as expedite approved with no decision from Jan 3rd.

Hi everyone,

just wondering if anyone could offer some advice.

AOS from F1 to GC through marriage. Filed to NBC in sept 26 or so.

Called USCIS requesting expedite. They requested documentation; I faxed it.

Stayed at “Request for additional information received.” It’s been 86 days now.

I asked the office of the congresswoman, they claimed they submitted a request on my behalf and said that they’d get back to me after 30 days. This was in November. Still no answer from them.

Contacted ombudsman. Sent the same documents. Job offers, explained my situation, no healthcare, utilities collection notices and denied twice.

This is extremely frustrating. I thought USCIS expedite request would let me know either way after 60 days? Should I call them back and try my luck? Or try to fax the same documents?

Any my advice would be greatly appreciated.

this most likely means your expedited was not approved. They will make a decision to approve expedited request within 30 days.  what was your basis for expedited ?

duh

Our request to expedite was approved on December 18th. Since then- silence... we have called various times speaking to tier 2 officers and they all confirmed that it is in expeditious processing but no further info. So the 30 day is not correct for all cases... its been almost 50 days for us now🤷‍♀️

Ah. I see. I thought they’d at least update the case status to at least let me know that it wasn’t approved instead of not saying anything at all.

I just sent a couple of job offers, one with the state - was hoping that this would actually increase the likelihood, and just my situation with my wife who is a full time student with no health coverage. All well, I’ll keep waiting

I thought Students could get cover fairly reasonably through their Uni?
