Hi all,

We received my husbands NOA2 in January, with the Notice Date being January 6th, 2018 (Priority date May 10th, 2017)

We haven't had anything come from NVC and my email has been left unanswered for over a week now. I know it's only been just over the minimum 30 days before contacting them, but I'm kind of lost on how long it takes to hear from them at this point?

Sorry if this is my own ignorance and inability to navigate pages.  Any answers or reassurance sure helps though! :)

Thank you!

Did your status on USCIS changed to "sent to dos" already?

You can give them a call and see if they already received your file. And if they hasn't, you can keep calling every 2 days.

Hey, do you have an e-mail set up where you could receive notifications for your case? I actually received NOA2 12/11/17 and then on 01/03/17 received an email from nvc stating they had received my case. From there the e-mail states the 6 steps you are to take.

I do have an email set up.

Also have had the online confirmation that it has been sent to the DOS.

Guess I'll try giving them a call :\  Thanks you guys!

I've never received any notification from USCIS when my case was approved, so I'm thinking it might happen the same with NVC. That's why calling is a better and faster option.

When you said this:

Quote

Never received any notification from USCIS

You mean wich of this statements:

1- Case number never worked online?

2- NOA2 never arrived to post mail?

3- You received normally the NOA1 via post mail?

How do you knew then that your case was approved? Calling them, USCIS?

I´m asking this because my case number never worked, and it´s my concern knowing when NOA2 arrives, because we are blind in this!

Sorry for all the questions, but I´m just trying to get all the  information possible!

Thanks in advance and have a great day!

Don't worry about the questions, I understand your concerns.

We received only 2 notifications during all the process with USCIS. One was a text message and a email from them informing that our case was sent to NebraskaSC.

After that we tried to expedited, and received a generic answer after a couple of days with the denial of the request. They never gave us the chance to send the evidence.

My case number worked from the beginning, but we found out we were approved because my husband received the NOA2 in his mailbox 7 days after of the real approval, we never received the notification we signed for, so no text message or email with the notification.

Something interesting is that my husband was calling USCIS and talked with tier2 during all the week we were already approved, and none of them was able to see our approval.

So many people would be calling them for a week, and probably none of them would receive the good news till the NOA2 arrives.

Ok , thanks, is the regular conduct that USCIS follows...

That first notification at the very begginning was the NOA1.

And yes, the second one in the Mailbox , then , was the NOA2.

A people that I know also have the same issue, she called to USCIS, talked to a tier 2 and received the notice that Nothing wrong happened to her case, and only a few days after, that same week also she received the NOA2 thru Mail Post!

Well, after NOA2 arrives , then the USCIS website changes, to "Sent to Department of State" but you have received the NOA2 in your Post Mail!

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer me, that thing of the case number "invalid" drives me crazy!

Fyi people, the g-1145 ONLY works for the initial NOA1.  After that you must sign up online to recieve any further notifications.  However that does not guarantee that you WILL recieve notifications since the online system doesnt work well for everyone.

About 2-4 weeks after NOA2, regardless of method recieved, you should contact the NVC about your case.  Do not wait for them to contact you unless you dont care how long your processing takes.

hi Missmatalini (and all)

We too got approved on 1/5/2018 and NVC got my package on 2/9/2018. NVC initially said I should by done in 14 days which is 2/23/2018, but as of today 2/27/2018 they are saying they are behind and very recently got flooded with approved visas from USCIS and no time frame when our visa would be processed, talked to supervisor and was told the same thing... Pretty frustrating...

Any update on your case? Any other ppl with similar timelines got their I-130 visas processed ?

I submitted my petition to bring my wife to US from Dominican Republic back in June 2017. In Feb 22 2018, they approved my petition and today they sent a notice that my file has been sent to Dept of State. I am not sure how long this part will take although it says 1-3 months .

I finally got an update that On January 24, 2018 our case was sent to the department of state.

I had sent an email to the NVC email address and it stated  we should be getting further instructions in 4-5 weeks :\
