documentation marriage at embassy?

hello everyone

 

for some private reasons, i need ask if we can documentation our marriage at embassy abroad?? I do not ask about visa i ask about marriage only, is it possible?

You can but a lot of times it depends on the country you are in.

Do you mean get married in a us embassy or are you already married and want to somehow register the marriage with the us authorities 

 

For the first I have seen this possible at other countries embassies in other countries, in the up embassy in Australia specifically as Australia didn’t allow same sex marriage. Not sure about us embassy in Malaysia.

 

For the second there is no registering of overseas marriages with the US, they accept all foreign marriage certificates. You can get it notoriezed

Really registering an existing marriage with the US embassy how, never seen this offered as a service.

The big thing I was wondering was the actual country of the OP. But as you see this is one of those vague posts that wants an answer to a question but gives no more information.

Just be prepared to give the people at the embassy more information than you've given us here when calling.

They are going to want to hear more than "for private reasons" when determining how/if they can help you.

In one word, I am syrian live abroad and want live with my wife abroad for some years, cant go to any other place for do that.
