Hi,

 

I applied for change of status in December. They sent me receipt for all the applications. Then I received a letter for biomaterics in January which is  done already . Now I received a letter mentioned “ we are unable to complete the processing of your application to register to adjust status.”

they need more information which I am able to provide in April and they gave me 87 days to submit.

My question is “ will I receive my SSN, Work permit and travel document” before these completion or i have to wait till i submit all the papers.

i called USCIS and they give me different answers. One said yes one said no. What should i do guys pls help.

The I-131 and I-765 are separate from the I-485.  I don't know if you will receive them before April because that depends on processing times.  However, the RFE/RFIE shouldn't delay the EAD/AP processing.  It didn't for ours.

some say a RFE stops the clock..some say it doesn't...either way...EAD/ADVANCE PAROLE are taking 6+ months for approval...today marks 198 days since my parents sent there EAD....and nothing so far.

The clock either pauses or stops for when you are considered outside normal processing times if you get an RFE/RFIE, respectively. From a practical sense, they both tend to just pause the clock until they get a response. They won't approve AP or the EAD until they get the RFE/RFIE response, though.

That clock pause is not an absolute.  Everyone was telling me that when we got our RFIE.  Our clocked neither paused or restarted.  My husband received his EAD/AP right in line with others who filed at the same time who did not receive an RFE/RFIE
