Shaun had a very stressful medical exam today in Johannesburg. The doctor asked him lots of questions about alcohol and even told him that he smells like it. He is very upset about it because he hadn’t had anything to drink since a braai on Friday night. He is a social drinker but nothing out of the ordinary. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi there I attended my medical in Johannesburg today as well. Doctor seemed fine and medical was over really quickly . If the doctor completed the medical and gave him the all clear, i wouldn’t stress about it. Hope everything works out for you guys 🌸

Thank you for the encouragement. He stresses a lot to begin with and with our interview appointment next week , I think his nerves are shot. He said that at the end, the doctor said he looked good to go.

Then all should be fine . Mine is next week Thursday, so I know how he feels lol. Good luck to you guys

Hi does anyone know how to get a birth certificate translated online please? I'm in USA on a K1 Visa I will get married in May I wanna get everything ready for USCIS.

Can someone please help me please! Tell me what is going on. My case has said ready ever since the interview. But the last update date keeps changing. It recently changed to the 15th but is still say ready like i didn’t have any interview please if you can help

Good News!!!    Received the email and text from the Consulate that DHL will deliver the Visa Wednesday before noon!  Our interview was  March 15th and were placed in Administrative Processing until we could provide the Police clearance.  The consulate received the Clearance on April 5th,  so basically 8 working days to receive visa after all paperwork was in. Flight booked for Thursday!!

Were you allowed to go to the interview without a police clearance? how do you arrange that, i'm waiting for my birth certificate as we speak

Okay so today my case says administrative processing both the creation date and update date are today the 16th and it switched from non immigrant to immigrant visa

Yes you can go to the interview without your BC. Once you get the BC they will add to your file and process the visa if you are approved at the initial interview...

Happy for you praying they be able to schedule you soonest if only you could be allowed to do the medicals now that way you just waiting for the date but all the same I’m so so happy for you

Hi Everyone, for those of you who went for your interview in JHB, I was working with my Fiance over video call yesterday and we just want to clarify what you needed to take to the interview relating to financial support: 

 

I-134 Instructions say we only need: 

 

Employment letter 

Pay stubs 

IRS transcripts 

W2 forms 

 

But nothing else? i have seen many other people say you need bank statements etc? but we are going with a joint filer (her parents) and they are not comfortable dishing out their bank statements? any advice?
