Knock on wood - I resubmitted the documents they asked for - it will likely take another two weeks for them to be looked at - but, PLEASE GIVE ME CC!!!! lol

Hi everyone in South Africa!  My fiancé and I are almost done in our process, she lives in South Africa and I live in the Seattle Washington area.  It took us 5 months to get our NOA2, so be prepared

We've been approved!!!! I'm so happy right now words cannot express it.

 

My fiance said they only asked her a few super easy questions, and it was at a teller's booth. It took her all of probably 2 minutes.

 

1) Do you promise to tell the truth, and everything in the packet is truthful?

2) Whats the petitioners name?

3) Where will you be living? (Just the state)

4) Have you ever been married?

5) Do you have any kids?

6) Has he ever been married?

 

And that was it!

 

When my fiance comes to America, I'll type a full review of the Joburg Consulate.

03/30/2018 - Mailed I-129f

04/03/2018 - NOA1 old site

04/05/2018 - NOA1 new site

10/17/2018 - NOA2 (197 days)

11/09/2018 - NVC Received Case

11/13/2018 - NVC Case number received

11/27/2018 - Case sent to embassy

11/30/2018 - Case arrived at embassy (NVC says "Ready")

01/17/2019 - Medical exam completed

02/07/2019 - Interview

02/28/2019 - Visa in Hand 

03/01/2019 - Entered USA

you can go on there and register now if there are dates available.... Also email them for pkt three but you dont have to wait for pkt three to pick an interview date. Good luck!

here is the email address for the consular in Joburg JohannesburgIV@state.gov Also make sure you have completed your DS160 form and Just FYI the first available date right now is April 25th
