But yes, January and February dates have been snatched up. It happened within minutes after they appeared. 

I got a date for 7 Feb on the day the dates were made available, it was the last date available at that time. It really seems to be first come first serve so make sure you check the website 2 times a day if you don't see dates available.

When were the Feb dates made available?   It seems like from what I have been reading a difference in the IR1/2 process is they give you a date, you dont select a date - not sure if that is correct or not....

Does anyone know if the consulate in Cape Town conducts the K1 Visa interviews also or is it strictly through Johannesburg?

Only done through Johannesburg. I used to think the same thing but now that I'm at the interview step, I see you can only do the interview through Johannesburg.

I got my Feb date around Mid December. Also i know nothing about the IR1/2 Process, only been paying attention to the K1 process so not sure about that 😕

I have a question for those that have booked there appt at the embassy....as my fiance and I are double checking everything for our interview we noticed that they said bring the confirmation letter of our appt with us.... Does anybody know were we would get this letter it say it was emailed to us once we booked the interview....however we didnt get an email with confirmation of interview we did get the confirmation on the actual booking site.... Please advise

No worries, the booking site has a print and email option once you click "continue" on the "Attend Appointment" page
