That would be amazing. . .

Once you receive your case number, do you book  the medical? Or do you first wait for instruction from the embassy

From my understanding, you can’t book the medical until you schedule your interview. You can’t schedule your interview until after you completed your DS160.

So is it true that interview dates are no longer limited to the last 2 weeks of the month on Thursdays and Fridays in the JHB embassy? I remember reading that somewhere but then never saw it again. .

Are all the Tuesdays and Thursdays of the month open for k1 visa interviews bookings..*Please Say Yes Please Say Yes!* 🙈

With your shipments having already left in the mid November batch? That's almost an 80% guarantee you'll make it to your US home for Christmas (based on my observations). . Super lucky!

Hi,

We had our K1 interview on Nov 15th and the CO said everything is good and we are approved. And today when we checked the NVC status it shows "Administrative Processing", is it normal to show AP before Issued. We are expecting that the visa will be issued today Nov 16th but it was not. Should we wait before we contact the consulate?

Yes it is perfectly normal, I waited two weeks before it turned to issued. It takes a little longer if there are holidays in between interview dates it was Columbus day when I had my interview. So it takes longer

Would you care to write a little about your interview and experience for those of us that will be headed that way soon? I know several other people have but it helps to have other people chime in too. How was it? What type of questions did they ask you? That sort of stuff.
