Does the I-134 (and the accompanying bank / tax statements) have to be the original copies? Being able to email all those to my fiance would definitely be easier than having to send as an envelope.

Yes they have to be the original, there are mixed reviews but most prefer to send the original i-134 and tax returns. My fiance and lawyer shipped me my documents

i am surprised they ask for original since most people fill it out the tax online. In my opinion, I dont think it would matter if its original or not as long as there is no tampering done. As far as I-134 that is up in the air since some require a wet signature from the petitioner, so in my opinion its better to send through mail to avoid any issues.

so just wanted to update you guys, I called the consulate this morning and the medicals are finally there. So hopefully I get my visa in hand soon,  so excited 😊😊😊😊😊

Well Guys we finally received the infamouse txt msg that our case has been approved at 1030am today! I am excited cant way to move to the next stage on to Medicals scheduling interviews etc.... @kemm360 @Vintage girl

Oh wow. Finally. Glad to hear that. You are 90% done. How is the weather there in SA. The summer can be wicked at times just like Cali 🤦🏾‍♂️

My fiance will eventually be doing her interview at the Cape Town Consulate. What are the wait times like for getting an interview? Any Idea if one is faster than the other?

Yes finally! And the temps are ok I'm from the Midwest in the USA so Cali summer temps are nothing compared to what we get lol........ Can't wait to get our interview date

Interview in Cape Town? I didn't realize they did interviews in Cape Town.....

Hmmm I guess I just assumed that because she put Cape Town under Consular Processing Information (Your beneficiary will apply for a visa abroad at the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate at....Cape Town) on the I-129f that it meant she'd have the interview there?

If she can't have it in Cape Town, what are the wait times like for the interview at Johannesburg?

If they treat k1 like immigrant visa interviews, which I believe they do, they are all only in Johannesburg. (Each country will only have one US embassy or consulate that does immigrant visas.)

I dont think they do interviews in Cape town i believe they are all done in Joburg. My fiance he will be doing his in Joburg....not sure of current wait times we just got our NOA2 today...
