Hi guys

We managed to get an appointment for 27th Sept. There were only 2 dates slot openings for Sept. 25 th and 27 th September. We missed the 25th by seconds due to credit card delay but we booked the 27th.

My medical will be on the 14th & 17th Sept. Everything booked and secured. Now 7 weeks to go before I can hopefully get to the finish line.

The slots are really tight guys. Seems like there is a lot of people jumping the que. Good luck to everyone waiting for the package 3 ready to book appointment.

Will keep ya all posted with developments.

Thank you for all the support and encouragement.

The slot opened up at 10am yesterday. By 12am the 25th was already filled. I paid cash at bank and by the time I get home only 27th was left. After 2 hours after that it seems like 27th was filled too. We managed to get the booking thank God for that.

Yeah people jump the que quickly. I was not the only one waiting for a slot to open.

All I can say is folks dont hesitate act quickly. That slots get filled very fast.

Woohoo!! We got our NOA2 by mail today (with no updates to the website yet) with a date of 8 August.

Since I just moved and updated my address with USCIS at the beginning of the month, I opened it assuming it was confirmation of my address change. What a wonderful surprise to Notice of Action across the top!

40 days to go till Embassy visa interview. Counting the hours. I miss my love so very much. It will be 300 days since 1st December 2017 when I last saw my fiance till interview date. This was the hardest journey ever but for love it was definitely worth it. God I hope that 27th September will give our hearts joy , a reason to celebrate.

We just received notice that USCIS has approved our I-129 and is sending our paperwork to the NVC.

What paperwork is required going forward?

- We don't have a copy of her birth certificate, just her SA ID,  but have seen that we can obtain one from a document service company in SA. Any recommendations of what service company to use?

- Will also need a Police Certificate? Any recommendations as well?

My fiance is with me in the US and has family in SA who can help , but any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

Firstly that Unabridged birth certificate is very important. They will not approve her visa without it.If she is from SA she must get it as soon as possible from Home affairs. Take up to 3 months waiting period.

Secondly Police clearance for 6 months validation

Thirdly the form Affidavit from the US citizen also very important.

US citizen tax reports to prove that he/she can take care of the beneficiary

2x Passport photos

Letter of intent to get married in 90 days

Proof of relationship

Some cases letter of No impediment  (to proof she/he is single) also at Home affairs

The rest is proof that you have met and still have contact every day.

Thirdly the form Affidavit from the US citizen also very important.  (will start this when i get my NVC case number, believe its part of my Rapid Visa package)

US citizen tax reports to prove that he/she can take care of the beneficiary (Part of my package with Rapid Visa)

2x Passport photos (I thought I included these with my I-129 application, will i need additional?)

Letter of intent to get married in 90 days (Included these with my I-129 application?)

Proof of relationship (Included these with my I-129 application, but she's already spend 9 out of the last 17 months here in the US)

Some cases letter of No impediment  (to proof she/he is single) also at Home affairs (had divorce docs included in I-129 package, will NVC or Consulate tell me if additional is required?)

The rest is proof that you have met and still have contact every day. (by the end of the year, she'll have spent 11 months here on two separate trips!!)
