Hello everyone, i haven’t received my case number yet from the NVC, but does anyone know what  exactly is needed for the k3 packet and what are the  instructions ? And what  you need for medical as well.

Thanks🌼

We received our embassy letter on the 19th but no available interviews so far. Time slots are not yet open. We are stuck in waiting for JHB Embassy site to open availability for interviews. They send you a letter. For medical you have to go on their site to make your appointment. But you cannot do that before your interview date.

Okay here it goes @LuFlolady @Vintage girl @desireelb14, my appointment was 1pm and i got to the embassy early around 10am, the security at the door were friendly so i was there with another guy and one lady joined us, we all were having conversations when others joined and we were about 20 at the main entrance door facing Sandton City, at exactly 1pm we were told to form 2 straight lines, one for American Citizens and one for immigrant, but we were not ordered as early we got there so i found my way to the 3rd in line. Infact the person who was 1st and second came around 1230 so being there earlier meant nothing really.

The Americans were told to go in first and once they were scanned and led into the second back building they called the first 5 immigrants in on the line we formed i was number 3 and we were scanned and they kept my iPhone and Apple Watch (SmartWatch is not allowed) and was given a tag to retrieve it once i am done. I got inside the big building and a young lady was sitting at the door with a lot of pieces of papers with applicants names already on it, she asked for my surname and gave me mine and on it was asked to input phone number, email address and one other thing i can't remember and she gave me the blue paper on how to get my passport if it went well plus a number 3 tag. She also put something at the back of my passport.

And she said i should proceed to the waiting area since i was number 3 there was available slot for me immediately and i was called up to a middle aged South African man who was funny and also laughed at me with how many proof of relationship i had brought lol. I got to him, greeted him and he responded and on the glass demarcating us was the list of what he needed from me. I remember. Proof of Payment, Unabridged Birth Cert + photocopy, 2 Passport Photos, My International Passport, Proof of relationship (I had millions lol), Police Clearance from SA and my country of birth, Affidavit of support( Form I-134), W2 Tax forms (I gave 2015/2016/2017). He then asked if i had anything to support what he requested and i said of course so i gave him bank wire transfers receipts we sent to ourselves, her flight itineraries and resorts that we went to and hotel we booked in Durban and Sun City, FaceTime call logs showing us spending hours on the phone, Facebook Messenger chats and iMessage chats, he smiled and said its cool for now. And i was told to take a sit and wait for the final American IO, after 10 minutes my number 3 was called to number 6 or 7 counter i think.

There i met an American lady, i greeted her with a smile and she responded and she said i am the interviewing officer who will be in charge of your case today, and said if everything i will say to her today will be the truth and i said i do and i smiled and she tried to pull my info on her computer but couldn't so she called someone from the background (An African lady) and they couldn't get through so the African lady asked if i had a copy of my DS 160 confirmation page present, of course i did so i handed it over to her and she used the number on it and everything she needed came up according to her expression, she gave me back the DS 160 and said lets start, the African lady then left us.

Where did you meet your fiancee. I told her on a mutual group we both follow on Facebook
When was this? In the year 2010
Wow, how long have you been in SA? 5 years
How old are you? I responded.
Have you ever been married? No.
Has she ever been married? No
Who do you live with? I live on my own.
When you met her where you still back home or already here? Yes i was still back home
When did you started dating? In 2016
Where does her parents lives? I responded where her mom lives but also said her dad is late
Does she have any siblings? Yes she does.
Where are your own parents? I responded.
What do you do for living? I am an IT Technician and a Web Developer
Have you ever lived in any country? Yes my country and SA
What about these other countries (On my passport)? I only visited them and returned home.
When are you two willing to get married? After 3 weeks of arriving in Los Angeles.
When did you meet her in person for the first time? June 2017
Did she visited again? Yes
When? December 2017-January 2018...

She said twice? Wow! And she smiled and nodded. she gave me back my 120 pieces of pictures lol that she had looked before she called me up for the interview because i saw that the pictures were no longer in the order i submitted them lol she then asked if i had that pamphlet of domestic abuse, i said no and i had no idea, she said one moment please and she went to get it in the background, when she came back she asked me one more question but i forgot what it was and after answering she said "Everything looks right and i see so reason why i should not approve your visa and she said "You are approved" i smiled and she also smiled and handed me over the domestic abuse pamphlet and said if you are being abused, don't stay in that relationship to keep your papers, call 911, there are ways you can get out without loosing your status, go through it later, i said okay, i will do that so she said you will get your passport with your visa in it within 10 business days.

We are now done, i said thank you and left. Everything with her took about 6 minutes, it was more like a conversation so i felt at ease and my nervousness went away after the first 2 questions.

Thank you for sharing with us Kemm. Congrats once again. Its been a very long journey. Almost over. Just passport now then you are good to go. :) I hope you guys are celebrating tonight.

Yes it is the same website and yes it will open within 7 days i think because same thing happened to me when i lost that June 28th date that i was supposed to book. July 26th became available around 2AM on June 1st. So you should get September dates around August 1st. Don't worry, it will come soon...
