Hello all! I received notification that my fiance's case left the NVC for the US Embassy in Johannesburg on June 26. I have yet to hear anything from the consulate. Anyone who has gotten past this step, how did you hear from them? I tried emailing and they told me to wait but didn't give me any info as to if they have received it. We are anxious to set up the interview! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did your case status showed "ready" on NVC site yet ? Im in the same boat. Our case showed "ready" yesterday but still waiting for Embassy package 3 instructions before we can schedule the appointment or medical. All I can say is be patient and just keep checking your emails. It will happen soon.

Thank you @Vintage girl! My case still says "in transit" on the NVC site. Definitely thought something would have been updated in the last 3 weeks. How long did it take for yours to be changed to "ready"?

That worries me that yours changed from in transit to ready within 5 days. Mine was marked in transit 3 weeks ago and staying at that status. Hopefully we will both hear soon! Thanks for the info

Every case is different. I checked the site like 6 times a day. Only yesterday around 5pm it showed up ready. Our case only started to show in transit after the 11th so from 18th June till the 5th we waited for a case number then after the 5th another 11 days till ready. Its a journey we do not understand. In which state are yiu getting married? Ours is Florida

We are in California. Luckily my fiance is here with me now, but we are hoping he gets an interview in September at the latest.

Ah that is so nice, you guys are very fortunate to visit each other. I haven't seen my fiance in 9 months. Since we filed our petition we couldn't visit. So we have to wait for interview approval then me flying out to Florida. Been a exhuausting journey but worth the wait. We hope for a opening but Destiny will provide. Keep strong. Soon.

Oh wow, hopefully you will get an interview ASAP so you can see each other! The longest we have has apart was 5 months and that was hard enough. Sending lots of good vibes your way!

Big Congratulations @Vintage girl 16th, 28th and 30th of August is available right now on the US Consulate website as i type this. I’m sure you’ll get one of those @LuFlolady Priority date is valid totally for 12 months. Initially valid for 4 months when Noa2 is issued. Another 4 months can be extended by the embassy twice to make it total of 12 months if applicant is not ready or something comes up. Search on this forum to understand how it works...

Hi Kemm are those Aug dates still open ? 16, 28, 30 or already filled?

That is because they sent her petition to SA electronically. Yours wasn’t. Our petition left NVC on May 16 and was ready here on the 17th. Sadly they do electronic randomly or based on whatever I don’t know.

Oh I didn't realize they weren't all sent the same way. Do you have any idea of how long it takes when it isn't sent electronically?
