YAAAAY!  congrats pls keep us up to date on the available intervew dates I am trying to book another trip to Cape Town and want to do so before the interview last I heard there are no fates available in July or August. :(

Feb 9th: rcvd hard copy of NOA1

Aug. 28th Notified of RFE being mailed

Sept. 1st received hard copy of RFE in the mail

Sept. 4th mailed response to RFE

Sept. 10th received txt that my response to RFE was received

Oct. 10th Received txt that we were approved (NOA2) 30days after RFE response

Oct. 13th received hard copy of NOA2

Oct. 31st case arrived at NVC

Nov 2nd received case number

Nov. 19th Case is "ready" to schedule an interview

Feb. 14th Interview (2019) APPROVED!!!!!!

July 24th: mailed AOS pkt

July 31st: received txt msg of receipt numbers for all documents

Aug 5th received NOA hard copies dated July 31st

Aug. 9th received Biometrics letter in the mail

Aug. 19th Biometrics appt.

Sept. 20th notified of RFE via website 

Sept. 25th Received hard copy of RFE (copy of BC)

Sept. 27th Sent response to RFE

Sept. 30th Response was delivered

Oct. 2nd... Response to evidence received updated on website

Feb 12, 2020 case is ready to schedule for interview

Feb 13, 2020 Notification that EAD  and AP was approved

Well my faith is bigger than my fear. Our priority date is 21 Oct so there have to be a opening somewhere. Will just have to wait and see what JHB embassy have in store for us. Im not going to stress about it. It will happen when it happens ☺

I meant dates not fates....lol that is good to know you have faith! I was always taught that all you need is the faith of a mustard seed!  were did u get your priority date from?

On the NOA2 theres a date till when its valid. 4 months since approval. Everyone have a priority date .

Big Congratulations @Vintage girl 16th, 28th and 30th of August is available right now on the US Consulate website as i type this. I’m sure you’ll get one of those @LuFlolady Priority date is valid totally for 12 months. Initially valid for 4 months when Noa2 is issued. Another 4 months can be extended by the embassy twice to make it total of 12 months if applicant is not ready or something comes up. Search on this forum to understand how it works...

Thanks @kemm360 for the clarity. We're expecting our NOA2 in August which would make four months land during festive. From what I've heard, the Joberg Consulate doesn't offer many interviews in late December so I was nervous. 

 

Congrats @Vintage girl on getting through NVC!!! Your almost there!!

Thank you for the info. I do not do my application myself the INS lawyers do it for us. I believe that what ever available interview date there is will be perfect timing. Looking forward to the last few steps. Can't wait to join the love of my life.

thanks for the info @kemm360 I will research info if needed at this point we plan to be "READY" when the time comes lol and wow that is a good sign that those dates are available! I hope @Vintage girl will be able to snag one..... :)

We used Belaire Hotels and Suites. It’s on Snell Parade. North Beach, Durban. 

 

You can look it up. It’s got nice views and quality services...
