It means your case is currently going through manditory security checks. They will notify you when they are completed. These checks can go quickly or take some time to complete so you'll have to be patient. We discovered with our case that DOS would not tell us anything or assist us in finding anything out until our case had been pending checks more then 6 months. I hope your's go much more quickly. Some people complete their's within weeks. Good luck!

broadcase,

It means that you weren't convincing in your interview, but you know that already.

Just out of curiosity, what consulate are we dealing with here?

Yodrak

Hello,

I have finished my interview two months ago and today the embassy replied that my paperwork is currently in the homeland security for further procedures?

what does that mean and should I be expecting a time to get a reply back?

Thank you

It is Riyadh consulate, and if I was not convincing why didn't they just give me my passport on the interview day?

your proble under admin processing. this can take as little as 17 days < not likely > to 2 years.

depending on the embassy and USICS. so what I would recommend is calling Department of state.
