So it’s been a week since my medical and my interview is tomorrow . I havnt heard from Knightsbridge about anything and I really thought I would as I said in another post I had an infection syphilis and was treated and showed proof it has lowered and controlled by she said it wasn’t USA standard treating etc , so I’m worried I’m gonna get to the embassy and they say no and Knightsbridge dr said she would contact me if I needed the treatment etc within 5 working days and obviously my mind is now playing overtime ! I

Did the doctor give you the paperwork to take to the interview? I don’t know about your country, but you only get the paperwork from the doctor if you’re clear. And they should give it to you the day of your medical.

Well they do say they will contact if there is an issue, the embassy will give you an opportunity to fix the medical if that’s the only thing preventing the visa as well so it wouldn’t be an outright denial even if they did want you to do another set of treatment.

Be prepared to respond to the embassy asking questions about it though, like have you told you fiancée, how did they react, and other things like that.

Not how it works in the uk, you get your vaccination report copy no matter what but the actual medical is sent over to the embassy by courier not by the applicant.

Ah then they might ask how you reacted, but they might not. Just be prepared to have the question potentially come up.

As you had your treatment in Japan even though Asia it’s seen as western in its medicine levels I would think you are ok especially as the hey haven’t contacted you.

Yeah I reacted quite calm and he contacted the infection before we met but didn’t know until his medical at work and as soon as he knew he told me and took me the medical center for immediate treatment etc and did all the translating for me as he’s half Japanese lol. So that was good. Thank you for the kind words of calmness :-) I’d be lost without this website :-)

Stop torturing yourself, the worst case scenario is they ask for further information or treatment (not sure that you could get treatment for something you no longer have..)

You might have a delay before getting your visa but unless there is another reason for denial having a prior STD is not likely to be anything worse than a bump in the road.

Can't wait for your celebratory post after your interview 🎉

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Good news. But has anyone's medical arrived on time lately? This is making me wonder if I should prolong my interview... what date did you have your medical?

Interview is pretty nice and straight forward . Honestly the worst part of all this was the medical !
