Our first conversation was about faith and our divorces. Both of us endured pain and loss before and we were so excited to meet someone who had been through similar experiences!

Our first conversation was among 4 other people besides us, and just about the only time we talked to one another directly was when one of his friends said nobody there was younger than him, and I said I probably was, and that turned out not to be true. He could probably fill in the rest of the blanks, since I was terribly drunk that night.

Our first convo was about Wolverine, Harry Potter and Gundam Wing. We met at a Harry Potter message board and we talking about comic books in the forum and then he added me to his MSN to talk about the comic book discussion, which led to the fact we were both HP fans, which led to anime.

Hmm trying to remember. The first conversation I can REMEMBER was about Aussie bands that he liked.

Or it may have been related to guns as we met at a NRA Riflery training...sad I know.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Our first conversation started out when I noticed her name tag had her home country (Philippines) on it. Since not many US men can say they've been there I opened with something like, 'You're from the Philippines? I visited Cebu City about 2 years ago'. After that we talked about a ton of stuff for 2 hours, exchanged contact info, and as they say, the rest is history. :D

Married on 11/21/06 in her hometown city Tumauini located in the Isabela province (Republic of the Philippines)

I don't remember our very first conversation because we met 11 years ago. I do clearly remember our first conversation when we reconnected after being out of touch for 4 years. We talked 8 hours, all the way through the night. First, we reminisced about when we first knew each other and then went on to what we were doing in our lives at that point. Then we got on the topic of music and realized that we loved a lot of the same bands. I guess our topics covered just about everything. It was such a great conversation. It taught me that no matter how much time passes, when you connect with someone as deeply as we've always connected, the time doesn't matter and things just feel right. :D

I asked him if he wanted to trade jobs.....I am a Massage Therapist and he was a

telecommunication operator with the UNHCR near refugee camps.

I thought his job was a lot more interesting than mine.

From there it went to the political corruption in Africa and then to our

personal lives......here we are 2 years later !

Today, one year ago May 1 is the first day I met him face to face and we have not

seen each other since my stay there. :crying:
