How long was it for you to get the visa finally?

I have the interview this morning but Fullerton did not sent the medical results, CNY did not help obviously...

thanks

Took me a week or so, not too bad all things considered.

Hi all,

just for the next ones, here is the summary of the interview and how it went.

This forum has been so helpful for me, thanks to everyone again!

My interview on the 8th scheduled at 9:30am.
I was there at 9am at the main gate, had to go through security let my phones and earphones power bank. I had a small pocket with electronics so I just gave them the whole thing. Very nice people welcoming you.

then you get into the building the security officers will tell you where to go so no worries.
Ground floor, you have this room, I told the lady I was there for k-1 and she asked me to just sit and they will call me. It was like 9:10
Inside it is counter where you just stand there and talk through the window I was very surprised. I expected a more formal interview sit down with an officer and so on..

Then I was called at the counter 7 where the man requested those documents:
- beneficiary's birth certificate + translation + copy
- police certificates (France + Singapore)
- asked me if I lived somewhere else other than France and Singapore in my adult life. If you say yes basically it means you will need a police report for those countries as well.
- affidavit support (I134) and he was ticking some boxes on his checklist.
- latest tax return of the petitioner (so 2017 )
- photographs (2 for beneficiary)
asked me if I registered for the Aramex delivery thing
he gave me the leaflet for domestic violence and asked to go sit down again and that I will be called to have the interview with the consular officer

then I went to counter 8, where the man asked me which visa I was applying for this:

- where did we meet?
- when? in which circumstances (my fiance was on business trip when we met here)
- how was it after (told him we met a month after in Australia and since then we did that every 3months in different countries)
- what does he do for a living?
- did he proposed or was it a common decision?
- tell in my own words what the leaflet means.

then he told me unfortunately we did not received the medical part yet so they were not able to tell me approved or not approved.
They kept the passport and said that the next thing will be me collecting the passport with Aramex.
So I still need to wait for the visa, it's been a year now almost so I can wait a bit more I guess ^^

I was outside at 9:40am.

good luck to everyone! hang in there!

Hi all,

I was checking on my DS-3025 and I just want to make sure that if Fullerton checked the box that states "K Visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements" it means that I do not have to go for medical check up there again when I adjust my status? Because they only put the dates for the following vaccines on my paper:

- TDaP

- MMR

- Varicella

- Influenza

They did not put the dates for Polio, Rotavirus, Hep A and B, Meningococcal and Pneumococcal. I have all my vaccination records though for all except for Menicgococcal and Pneumococcal as the doctor mentioned that I am still young and would not need those vaccines.

That's correct, you don't have to do another medical check-up. Reason being, different age groups have different vaccinatons requirements. Varicella, TDaP, MMR and Influenza are the compulsory requirement for our age group. The others you mentioned are compulsory for young children.

Congrats! Remember to guard the DS-3025 with your life(I'm being overly dramatic). You will need to submit that with your Adjustment of Status.

Thanks so much for the information!

Did they give you back the original DS-3025 at the immigration? Or is it ok if we only submit the copy of the medical document? Fullerton only sent me a PDF copy via email.

they are really slow. It’s best to have a 2-3 weeks between medical date and interview date.

And remember to call them before interview to push them send the report as soon as possible.

Delivered: 5th May 2021

Thanks so much for the information!

Did they give you back the original DS-3025 at the immigration? Or is it ok if we only submit the copy of the medical document? Fullerton only sent me a PDF copy via email.

The customs officer I encountered did not take my X-ray CD or my DS-3025.

That being said, I actually sent a photocopy of my DS-3025 with my Adjustment application because to be honest, those I was given were just... photocopies. Like black printer-ink copies.

Ahh i see! So the packet that was given to the immigration officer did not have the DS-3025 form? I will just bring a copy of the DS-3025 in case the immigration ask for it and for AOS. Should be ok right without giving them the original copy since i dont have it with me?
