I'm the citizen and I am from Utah. I served a 2 year religious mission in Florida about  year ago..

On the form under the address history section is asks to list all physical address for the last 2 years and in another area it asks for all places of residency since my 18th birthday.

Should I put down the religious mission as a place of residence? It would be difficult because I moved around every few months or so, thus there would be like 8 different apartments. Although I could put the mission office address, that's what I would put for when I would go to doctors office, but I actually never lived there, since its not a residential house.

Also, technically I wasn't ever a resident of Florida. When I wanted to vote in the 2016 elections, I had to use an out of state ballot and my vote counted for Utah. But I was in Florida for two years, so I don't want them thinking I'm trying to pull one on them by not listing it.

Also, I've been told I could list it as employment as to avoid a gap in employment. If I don't list it as a residence would it be smart to also not list it as employment? Really my full question is, what should I put on the form, both in employment and residency, in respect to my 2 year mission in Florida? Should I put anything?

Thanks

Did you sleep in those apartments for those 2 years?  Did you receive mail at those apartments?  If so, then you resided in those apartments, and you should list them as residences.

Technically all mail was sent to the mission office then it was forwarded to me. Also the apartments were never in my name. But the problem is I don't know the addresses and it will be very difficult to figure that all out.

Is it absolutely necessary?

The mail was forwarded to your residence imo.  I think you're making this harder than it really is.  The fact is that you were physically in Florida for 2 years.  I consider that residing there...even though it was temporary (for 2 years)......just my opinion..others might disagree..good luck on your journey.

You should be as accurate as you can on all immigration forms.

Mail delivery isn't the trigger...  It is where did you sleep...  If you slept the majority of the year in Florida...  guess what...  You resided.  I don't understand your concern for not wanting to list Florida...  It is a non event

There is a difference between having domicile somewhere and actually being a resident there. For instance, a student is often considered domiciled in the country/state/locality of their educational institution, but maintains residence in their home country/state/whatever.

However, I don't think this question is looking to make that distinction. In the above example, I would say listing their student housing should still be done.

Well, its just that I lived in multiple apartments during that time, I think 9 if I remember correctly. We moved around alot. And also I would be a huge pain to gather the information for all those apartments.
