POE? haha some of us still stuck at NVC. Almost 12 weeks....ugh!

I was wondering, anyone still at NVC?

You are at NVC for 12 weeks??? Your noa would expire. Did they give you any reason?

Yep, 12 weeks. I've been calling everyday. I got my case# after 6 weeks they got my file and another 6 weeks ever since. I asked them about expiring NOA2 and they said it will renew automatically since the case is still active. The reason they're giving me is it's still being processed to be sent to local embassy. I'm very frustrated and feel powerless here. ugh!

I’m so sorry 😐 it must be really frustrating after all this wait. Do you know anyone from same embassy? To see if they’re stuck the same way.

Thank you. No, I don't know anyone with K1 and not much of info under the portals for this embassy.

12 weeks is really long for k1. I’ll keep my eyes open if I see anyone with same embassy or problem. What about trying to mail local embassy? I don’t really know if it would help but maybe they can give some info...

Ugh...tell me about it. Yes, please do let me know if you see anything similar. Local embassy, they don't even have my file yet, so I don't think they would say anything helpful. I'm thinking may be the local embassy told them to hold files up since they are too busy. One of the lady at NVC said one day 'they'll send it when the embassy is ready'. I don't know what to think anymore. I might try through one of the Senators here. Thank you for the suggestion.

Yes I heard about that too, embassies being too busy. I would definitely try senators at least to get better information.

Good luck, I really hope it resolves soon. I’ll keep my eyes open.

Call them every day. That's really long for the nvc. I wonder if yours was sent snail mail to your embassy.

You might try both options below.

First try shooting off an email to the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV The Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent perspective to USCIS in an attempt to resolve problems.

Second try your U.S. representative's contact information can be found in this handy directory, and your U.S. senator's information is in this one.
