Did you receive your case number via email?

We got our NOA2 March 7, and was wondering how long do they response email inquiry.

Thank you!!!

It's better to call NVC then to email. Once you have your MNL# (case number) do you understand what to do next?

That's exactly the next steps. Here is a great guide for Step by Step instructions and links to the forms. It's free to use: http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

BTW you don't have to wait for your file to arrive at USEM as you can start soon as you have your MNL#. By the time you get everything finished the file will be at the Embassy. Good rule of thumb is schedule about 4-6 weeks out from getting your MNL# which should be plenty of time.

Stop by the sub-forum for the Philippines and ask any questions. Lots of help and a few experts there. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

NVC is now taking 6 to 8 weeks to process. so it will say at nvc for a while as they are now backed up.

mid to late feb they were taking less than 10 days to transit, then early march 10-15 days (mine was 10 days) now its 6-8 weeks.

THERE IS NO ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING at NVC. so don't believe that. My attorney was like W T H ? When agent there told me the same thing and he contacted them and they confirmed NVC doesn't do any kind of administrative processing between the NVC - Embassy stage. All they do is put the file together to send to the embassy. Electronically or Mailed or both.

Administrative processing is at the embassy stage, the NVC site will show that but only after the interview, then when the visa is issued it will say "issued"

Hello I have a quick question. Once the NVC sends my packet to the embassy do they send me anything else? MY fiancee is under the impression that we have to wait for them to send me packet 3 but I'm not sure if that's true. Can't she just send packet three when she has all of the requirements? Thank you!

Everything you need is spelled out on your Embassy Website including the P3 packet instructions. https://th.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/packets/

Hello everyone.

I know that the process is different for every country, and it was hard for me to proceed after getting my Case Number.
Since I didn't receive any mail or email from the Embassy here in Qatar, I sent an email to the US Embassy here.

I am so happy when they replied. They finally assured me that my case is with them and that I should submit the requirements written in the mail they sent me. So I told them I haven't received anything. The person replied back giving me a list of documents I needed to prepare.

So yesterday I got my medical examination and now I'm just waiting for my results. Then I can finally go to the embassy for my interview.

I have a question though. I've been reading about Income Tax Returns and Poverty Guidelines.

Since they already approved our petition, it won't be an issue anymore right? Or will they look into it during the interview? How do I know if we're good or not? In his Income Tax Return? Which part?

Apparently, my fiance hasn't finished doing his taxes for 2017. But in the email sent by the embassy they only asked for his 2016 taxes.

It's ok right? I'm just really nervous about my interview 😱😱😱
